Good skill from their winger to beat Dallas, but the cross is saved well be Casilla.

Harrison here to make an impact by the looks of things - on the ball a lot and making good use of it. Looks to have grown physically over summer.

These kids look big. Oduor, Strujik and Edmonson in particular.

Not quite as accurate with their passing these young lads but still had most of the ball.

Very busy. Him and Gotts look a handful.

Some good touches for Mujica so far as well.

Good chance for Mujica there, just wide.

Struijk having a good game too, they've all played pretty well.

Some of the attacking moves are almost identical to the seniors. Really promising stuff from the youth team.

He's massive, a proper unit and just moving up from the U18's!
Looks comfortable on the ball though.

You can see the benefit of consistency there. The start of last preseason we looked really disjointed, but we've hit the ground running in terms of style tonight.

What is interesting is so many of these U23's can play almost anywhere. This is a bit like a cricket team full of high quality all rounders.

Oduor looks real quality, Edmondson strong, Casey a Pontus like run upfield but quicker and hit his man with the pass, Mujica looks a good buy. Hosannah calm and collected, good on the ball, Kun clever...I think we'll forget about Pontus real quick

Watched the latter 60 mins and I have to say, and this is no disrespect to York but this sort of scoreline is exactly what should be expected given the stature of our team, not a bloody draw.

I think we'll see some players seriously step up this season, even if we lose another big name.
