The Yanya is my number 1 now and it's a bit special. She turned down easy fame when Louis Walsh offered her in a Saturdays type girl group to go her own way ...

All new to me, but I've been dipping into these the last couple of evenings faaip and got to say that I did like most of them, particularly those bolded. Exception being the Solange one - which didn't do it for me

Thank you, It's a blue chip year for new music. Rina dropped to 2 behind the best debut album I've heard in years, no disgrace..The Solange reminds me of Stevie Wonder at his best Secret Life of Plants stuff..but I agree it's not for everyone.

Nice to see someone else enjoyed the Lizzo...I find myself singing Juice a lot

I'm waiting on the new Dope Lemon atm..

Sorry, faaip, I've been by-passing or missing this thread for some reason of late. I really like that, will listen the album properly through headphones over the weekend. Feels like it's that sort of album.

Excellent, I love new music when it's good. Every year I trawl through best of lists and usually find one or two I really like..this year it's almost everything I listen too

I know Ges loves his female vocalists as do I, I'll try another
