Thank you for reminding me, been meaning to listen to that.Anonymous wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 11:35 pm Just been listening to Phil Hay discussing this on the Square Ball, and he made a comment about the Qatari money being used to build a portfolio of clubs, with PSG, Genoa and Leeds.
Something like this would not necessarily be in Leeds interest at all, if we ended up as some kind of feeder club for PSG. It may well not be the golden ticket you imagine.
Qatari stuff is over now unfortunately (imo) at least for the time being.
That may very well be true, in the same way Man City owners have Girona and New York City Fc.
But should we get into the Premier league then the money would change that imo, so much more exposure (if publicity is their aim pre 2022, good publicity) and just so much more money. After spending over $1billion euros on players in Paris PSG had revenues of just over $500million last year.
When QSI bought PSG there entire revenue was about £90million, Prem teams all receive more then that from tv money and prize money alone.
The financial possibilities and publicity are far greater in England then in France.
I think we will get a Man City owner one day, really do, the city is ideal, the club is ideal, whether its the Qataris, Saudis, Kuwait, Russia, China, some day probably fairly soon LUFC will have its shot, like Wolves, Villa, Newcastle (if that happens).
