That is all Biesla's fault for mine persisting with Bamford, he struggles to get himself in position to trouble keepers.
For the 7 Million we paid Boro would be giggling to themselves.
You can play as pretty as you want but be so ineffective at the same time. How we lost that game is unbelievable.

It probably knocked the stuffing out of our players mentally too. 2-0 game over, 1-0 different story. 2-0 we get a lift and our energy levels probably go up 10 to 20% and we likely get a 3rd or 4th. 2-0 Derby players know it is over, they become even more tired than they already are and limp to a heavy, and deserved defeat.

It would have been better that we hadn't had the penalty kick at all. F*cking FA cheating now and instructing refs to give us penalties.
Agree Weasel, but my worry is that you will probably be able to apply these comments quite alot this season and in very simple terms if we continue to squander chances as we do, we obviously will not be promoted

Was a great stream cheers Elland.

Casilla - 6.5 - A spectator today

Dallas - 8
White - 7.5
Cooper - 7.5
Alioski - 5.5 -

Difficult to score a defence when they have an afternoon off, Dallas the best of it due to his influence going forward

Phillips - 7.5 -
Klich - 5.5 - Off day for Mattuez compounded by the pen, maybe he got caught cold there, we get them once a season, so perhaps he didn't have a second type of pen planned
Shackleton - 6.5 - To honest I hardly noticed him and for a central mid that cannot be good, was he quiet today? Think I heard his name called about twice
Hernandez - 7.5 - Quiet day but it was that kind of game, we played a team who just didn't compete till the 80th minute.
Harrison - 8 - Thought he was busy and influential down our left, the wayward crosses often down to the forward not making the expected run. Forced the keeper to make a good save. One over hit cross early. The one player who really misses Kemar.
Bamford - 5.5 - Has to do better than that, where he was good was in his toil and work, where he was bad was in the quality. I counted three times behind the defender with the ball coming in, basically needing an error, maybe lacks the instincts of a true finisher and until we get that we won't be hitting the back of the net often in games.

Costa - 5.5 - Poor I thought today
Nketiah - 7.5 - Just needs more game time, we're wasting a possible Roofe plus clone here imo.
Douglas - 5 - If he doesn't start a game then just don't bother MB, he's not a player that can play 10 minutes and be effective. Almost like Derby thought we'll play dead for 80 minutes, survive and then when Alio gets pushed up and Douglas comes on we'll attack the weakness which is now their left side..and they cut us open.

How is it teams get touches and blocks on our chances but they have one shot past two players that threads a needle ..is the curse of ER back in full force....Is that gypsy still alive or her daughter maybe

faaip wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 1:31 pm Because the fans think the issue is Harrison, it's not, he's key on our left and I think the look at Bamford after the last cross he delivered for him spoke a thousand words. Bamford's movement is poor imo, always thought so, his positioning and decision making is poor and he scores when it falls well for him. He's often behind the defender, and there was an incdent today with Jack going into the box where he pulled it back to where Bamford was going only to find Bamford had switched directions way too late and made it look like a Harrison c**k up

Right now I'd say they cannot play together, I can't recall a Harrison to Bamford goal, there must be a couple but I'm struggling.

Rant over
Harrison is a winger who doesnt create or score goals, his end product is dire, JFH said the same, his end product is just not good enough.

BTW We looked so good early because that's the worst team to play at ER for 50 years, but if you look at the individual performances you'd grade them comparatively low. Had we won that 2-0 you'd still struggle to find a MOTM, an own goal and a pen where the defender took out an nonthreatening Bamford, he wasn't scoring from there, he was still figuring out what he was going to do next. It was a gift, their goal probably the best move of the game

Derby sat deep so we we're very slow out of defence, our best moves early coming from Derby trying to play the ball out of defence and us forcing errors with the high press..

Man City 3-0 up inside 15 mins. That's what taking your chances looks like.

This, how he gets in the team is beyond me, no attributes beyond being a hard worker (you can tell he always gives 110 per cent which is fair enough, just lacks any quality).

Bielsa for me too stubborn in the lineups, said it loads of times before. Does all of this analysis on opposition sides and yet we play the same eleven with the same formation and game plan week in week out. Still dominating sides totally, you feel we're just a few tweaks away from running away with the league.

They can't handle the pressure situation. They know the buck stops with them especially at home as they have to break the opposition down and invariably they are incompetent to do so and as the minutes tick by it get more anxious. PB is not a natural finisher and has had a fair chance to bag a hatful already but is incapable. Some say its bad luck, i say its just not being good enough. Time for him to take a run in the 23s to see if he can score there. Leeds don't have the luxury of waiting for him.
City 5-0 17 mins. Something to enjoy at last

They s**t money and it's a different league. I'd expect them to be able to find the players they need. I doubt we could afford or attract any of Man Cities first team strikers

We were just a few tweaks away last season but until Bielsa changes nothing else will either.

At what point is the s**t going to hit the fan as we've thrown away 7 points already? The only good thing is no one's really taken any advantage.

Perhaps if we had Nketiah on from the start, we'd have done too. We're the only team in this league who wouldn't start Nketiah and Costa.

There was zero pressure today...We've played non league teams that put us under more pressure than that. If you're saying it's a fan issue, playing in front of home fans, then that's a different argument. One I'd be happy to explore in a separate thread..

No but we have a 2nd rate winger from them who wouldn't get in there womens team...no offence.

Knackered, I dont think our guys have the legs to keep this up. Dallas looked shattered by the 70th minute.

Once the goals dont go in I think it just gets into the psyche of the team.

No other team in this league would have Costa on the bench and may be not even Eddie. Its actually becoming laughable at what Bielsa is doing. I've rarely seen any sense in his substitutions but now his first choice 11 has become bewildering. Costa wasn't involved with 23s so why is he left on the bench. Take the bloody leash off these players and put games to bed instead of creating a situation where panic sets in due to a 'striker' who cannot take his chances. Klich missed a penalty but we really shouldn't be relying on penalties and own goals to win such one sided matches every week.

I bet if the statos count up Harrisons touches and passes it would make him look good but this Leeds team are becoming so cliched and he is one of the causes. For all the ball time he sees he does not create enough. MB likes him because he presses better than Costa.

It is bewildering how Costa our marquee signing isnt being given a run in the team.

I agree, watch Harrison come back to life with Eddie playing, go back several pages here and I say "we start Eddie and we're 3 up by now". Some of the worst finishing for weeks now from Bamford I've ever seen. Not a bad footballer and he adds a lot in hard work but when I'm screaming where are you going at him every time we break somethings wrong.

Hate ragging on our players but he's another Billy Paynter. MB likes him though and he does add a bit of grit and some good hold up work, problem is he's never where you need him when we have the ball.

Thats exactly what im saying. 35000 leeds fans expectations weighs heavily on the players .
