Speaking of the excellent Alberta Cross, on my play list this week the equally excellent Manchester Orchestra's "A Black Mile To the Surface"...think I can get away sticking them in the same rough genre

I'm onto my third play of this 2017 album from the band out of Atlanta Georgia ..cracking stuff. Epic is the word that springs to mind, it's a big sound. Play loud

Band Of Horses 'Mirage Rock'

A recent 50p purchase, this album hasn't got the hook melodies of my favourite BOH 'Everything All The Time' nevertheless I feel this album is going to grow on me after my first couple of listens

Dellines 'Colfax' :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

This debut is even more gorgeous than my Album of the Year 'The Imperial'

Easybeats 'The Definitive Anthology' :star: :star: :star: :star:

Excellent 56 tracks compilation from the 60's Aussie rock/pop band

Played this a couple of times over the weekend, most folk I know prefer, You Are The Music.......but this is my favourite. My father in Law sold Glen Hughes his first bass guitar. He was big mates with Mel Galley, big drinking buddies before Mel died.

Mirage Rock is a grower, good but not as good as Everything... or Cease To Begin. ...in my opinion
