Phillips overhits a freekick and that's that (watch him be named MOTM on the coach).

Was that Forshaw who had the easy chance near the end?

Why MB thinks he is a box to box mid I don't know, the guy cant shoot or create.

71% possession, 18 shots (only 3 on target), 13 corners !!! Frustration isn't even close !

What worries me is with our home form the way it is we cant afford to not win away.

Charlton are a newly promoted side (started well) but a newly promoted side nevertheless.

If you want automatic you win at newly promoted sides.

1 own goal scored in 2 games says it all. We aren't good enough or clever enough up front. Stats mean nothing except to say that every team only needs 1 chance against us and its game over because Leeds will never score enough goals. We keep saying "luck" but if thats whats needed they may as well jack it in now.

Outclassed Charlton but come away with a defeat by a fluke goal FT - 1-0

Casilla - 6 - Hardly anything to do but partially at fault for the goal
Dallas - 6 - Off his game today
White 8.5 - So cultured and barely a foot wrong
Cooper 8 - Couple of cracking balls and solid in defence
Alioski - 6 - Better game came off too early
Phillips - 6 - Not at his best, suffered with diving at his feet, lost possession a couple of times and some meh dead ball work
Costa - 7.5 - Started well, was less of a factor as the game went on
Klich - 8.5 - Masterful, his vision wasted by Bamford and Dallas. Couple of off target shots lose him a point though
Shackleton - 7 - Not sure he's there yet, some very heavy footed touches in good positions killed promising attacks
Bamford - 4 - Poor, couple of poor missed chances, too slow and then a nasty late challenge he could have gotten a red for
Harrison - 8 - Some lovely touch passes, some great crossing which went unchallenged and is able to find space when tightly marked. Showed great feet today. Shooting wayward so loses a point and a half. Defensive work outstanding too

Forshaw - 4 - Rusty
Nketiah - 7 Live wire ..unlucky not to score
Roberts - 5 - Very rusty

72% 19 shots 4 on target. 13 corners.

We may have the tactics but do we have the players?

We just dont have the game for this league.

We have no execution from set pieces, our goalkeeper needs a choke chain, Harrison needs a bloody
choke chain GET OUT WIDE and cross the ball you get so much of the ball it is criminal. The opposition hardly have to mark you they know what you will do and are ready.
We refuse to exploit the left flank but when we did we created the best two chances of the game.
If KP is our best dead ball specialist we can forget it.
If Dallas is our most destructive winger we can forget it.
If Bamford continues to lead the line we can forget it.

I am so bloody annoyed at another key stone cops performance.

Fair point, bit of a childish response, could have put it better., I apologise.

I couldn't disagree more strongly with what you said, that's what I should have said.

I thought he got in positions well but was poor with the close control today, didn't have much to do defensively.

We are now two points down on when TC was here, at this stage we had 20 points.

We have the same points as last season which given we have basically the same team isn't a surprise.

Its a good start but mustn't kid ourselves that its a great one, things must improve fast because this is starting to look like how last season ended.

No end product, giving away sloppy goals, you cant win promotion like that.

For me he didn't start the game well, it took him a while to find his groove with Costa. But he improved as the game went on. Had next to nothing to do defensively though.

Thank you, I'm ok with people disagreeing with me and I respect your opinions, even if I don't agree with them. You rate Alioski at LB and you like Paddy as a striker..I disagree with both of those opinions...I honestly like what Harrison tries, I like the clever footwork and I like the football IQ. Reminds me of Mike Summerbee, and has the same sort of pace and cleverness..I like the defensive shift he puts in

The club are pretenders. They continue to talk about promotion this and promotion that but to get up from this league a consistent goalscorer is required and just as last season we do not have one. The rest of the team will most certainly not contribute enough where goals are concerned and the defence are susceptible to the most softest of goals. Overall the quality is not there regardless of how much possession we have it means nothing without a finishing product. I don't believe the players will improve anymore than they have since MB took charge so once again we will all look back and think about what might have been had AR and MB decided to invest in a centre forward who can actually score 1 in 2 games over 46 to give us a fighting chance.

I should have been more grownup, just fed up of repeating myself about Jack, we disagree on him, Roofe, Paddy, ALi etc, that's coo :) l

Paddy is pushing me a bit, at some point he has to score because that is his job.

I understand your point and Jack does have good feet, I mentioned it in game when he showed great feet to make space then put the shot miles over, did it with a few crosses to 1st half.

And he does put a shift in.

But he has a dreadful end product, all last season people said very similar to what you have said, highlighting his qualities and then that his end product would improve, it hasn't.

Not entirely his fault, he put in a great ball 2nd half, but that is far far to rare an occurrence for me, it got to the point Charlton just let him cross and only half arsed closed him down.

How much longer do we wait in the hope his end product will improve?
