You've hopefully downed a couple of pints at ER by now IanIrish Ian wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 9:42 am Especially excited about this as it will be my first time back at EL in a long time.
I have mixed feelings about leaving Costa out as he really needs games but can we really have a midfield of Harrison, Roberts Pablo and Costa with KP as DFM? Does that leave us too exposed defensively ?
It'll be nice to see Stewart Downing play ( though obviously not too well) as he was one of my favourite players from times past.
What is the best pub to visit?
Plane lands at 12ish so expect to be at ground around 1.30.
Hope it's a great (winning) game for you...

Pathetic how we don't have a striker on the bench. Playing Dallas on the left when we have a LB on the bench. Bringing Pablo on later might be one of Bielsas better ideas.

Loving this thread with all the pub recommendations. Just booked my plane ticket and hotel room for my trip in March. Can't wait.
In theory, if you have 16 players in the squad, they could play about 28 of the 46 games and nobody would burn out. But in order to do that, you have to have a good deal of flexibility among the players. I don't know that we have enough players capable of playing multiple positions to allow us to get by with only 16, but that doesn't make us special among Championship clubs. The limitations the smaller payrolls place on a team mean nobody is going to have a complete roster. I think MB has done a very fine job of putting together a group capable of getting us into the top two. I'm optimistic. So optimistic, in fact, that I'm counting on us clinching automatic promotion at the Huddersfield game on 7 March.

Bary Douglas being put on the bench in place of Bogusz highlights a huge frustration with Bielsa and how he rigidly sticks to this 18 player rule.
We have 3 full backs on the bench, no striker, 4 if you count Gotts who has played full back.
Douglas shouldn't be anywhere near the match squad based on performances for ages when fit.
And I cant find any streams

Concede an early corner. Bamford heads away well

Bamford takes a lot of criticism, but his work rate is incredible.
