Well I believe most footy fans would agree with me subbing Berardi for a kid was a wrong move, Struijk coming on to bolster our defence makes more sense!

Yet Struijk came on the game before and did very well, we've also played Casey as a sub too IIRC. Most footy fans think Berardi to blame for not being tall enough I'm sure when that sub was made at 3-1 most fans would have said good move. Can't prove that because everyone uses hindsight to compound their beliefs and minds get changed post game...

So what everyone is saying is they want new players in Jan who haven't played in this system at any point but don't want to blood the good kids we already have, who have.... OK

Re: Leeds Utd v Cardiff City Match Thread
Heidi a top Leeds fan who has been watching Leeds as long as I have (well almost) whom I see at most home & away games.
Part of her match report
"As Cardiff threatened to get something out of the game they had a player sent off in the 86th minute as he brought Nketiah down on the right wing with a bad foul. I hoped that would limit the threat from Cardiff but unfortunately for us, it didn’t. As we had lost our height with Bamford going off, Bielsa made the decision to bring Struijk on which looked like he wanted to protect the lead and see the game out. It didn’t work out the way we wanted it though, as I think it was a mistake to take Berardi off. Sadly our defence seemed to be at sixes and sevens as two clashed for the same ball and within two minutes they got an equaliser to stun the Leeds support.
That was a sucker punch today having been so far in the lead then letting it slip. The aerial attacks and long throws had put us under pressure and we didn’t cope well with them. With having let in so little goals so far this season, we suddenly let in three in one game. The consensus as we came out of the ground was that Nketiah doesn’t hold the ball up like Bamford does and we lose the ball very easily. It will have been a learning curve today because at times I thought we had become very complacent today"

Not got Bamford's minutes on the pitch and goals per minutes but a few stats for Eddie - league matches only.
14 sub appearances for a total of 364 minutes. 3 goals during that time so a goal every 121 minutes.
During Eddie'e time on the pitch the team has scored 6 goals (3 of which Eddie scored) and conceded 4.
Out of the 14 matches we have got a better result 4 times and a worse result 3 times and have a net gain of 2pts from his appearances (based on if the score had stayed the same and he hadn't come on).
As a team we have scored a goal every 61 minutes when Eddie is on the pitch and conceded a goal every 91 minutes he is on the pitch. Overall as a team we scored about 1 goal every 60 minutes (when Eddie or PB or both are on the pitch). Overall as a team we concede a goal every 161 minutes (when Eddie or PB or both are on the pitch). So it appears we score the same whether Eddie, PB or both of them are on the pitch but concede nearly twice as often. Obviously based on a small sample size and unfair to judge solely on PB v Eddie as significant other factors in play.

Stats are best summed up by Simon and Garfunlel "All lies and jest that a man here's what he want's to hear and disregards the rest..I remember posting stats that showed we were poor with Pontus (or not as good as with Berardi) playing last season, I posted them twice...ignored both times because hey didn't fit the narrative
