By the way I said NOT enough creative minds.

Mainly the striker but our system brings so many of our players into the last third who then lack either the guile or the skill to do anything but the obvious...

How many CLEAR CUT chances today?

How many clear cut chances do the opposition create? They score with their only shot on target.

What's your point?

Im responding to those who think that more chances equate to more goals.

Why do we need to create clear cut chances to score when the opposition only need one shot to score?

What worries me is the similarities between this season and last.

For half a season, top of the league, rock solid defence, not clinical and set pieces are still the biggest concern.

Then still not clinical, but the defence starts to concede more and the set piece issue grows.

The patterns between this season and last are their for all to see and that includes the drastic drop in form in a short period of time (11 clear of Fulham at half time vs Cardiff, now its 3).

Whose to blame? I dont know but the similarities should be deeply concerning for all.

If you have the same issues for 18 months then just coaching is not going to fix it, systems wont fix it, you need to look outside of the club for solutions and that imo is maybe where MB's stubborn side lets him down.

He believes his system can fix everything, it cant.

We should have kept Jansson or replaced him with similar.

We should have replaced the permanently crocked Forshaw rather then having to keep this ridiculous Dallas is James Milner myth going.

And Bielsa needs to stop just picking his favourites, today was crying out for something different.

Poveda and Augustin should have been trusted even just for 15, 20 minutes.

The system cant fix everything and maybe thay is something MB will never learn.

Well it keeps on getting trotted out as the problem.

Blame........lets get it straight, these players go out every game to play well and get a win. Bamford isnt 'to blame' for being picked week in week out, whats he supposed to do, tell Bielsa he doesnt think hes up to it.......which he isn't if his role is to score goals regularly. With regard to Kiko and the criticism he gets for the odd howler.......SIMPLE FACT IS WE COULD SURVIVE A HOWLER EVERY GAME IF WE CONVERTED OUR CHANCES !!! I am sure that Bielsa thinks he is doing the right thing by picking the same team week in week out irrespective of results, so I won't BLAME Bielsa but would suggest he needs to rethink his strategy before its too late :?

Dallas puts in alot of effort and is fine at right back but in centre mid he is poor and offers nothing, it seems to result in us purely attacking down the flanks which is very predictable and easy to defend against if you have an organised defence.
I struggle to understand why Bielsa thinks Dallas is a central midfielder, poor today in the main

Stick Ronaldo Vieira in for Dallas.
Pontus in for Cooper (and make him captain).
Augustin and Poveda are involved and i think we would win.

Its hard to blame anyone because we are 2nd .

But mistakes have been made since MB arrived on his part and the club.

Who decides that selling Vieira and Jansson and keeping Coops/Bera and Forshaw is a good idea?

Pass down the line, squared hard across the six yard box, cleared either behind or up the pitch. Despite all the nice passing we hardly tested their keeper.

As for the high number of chances, just like last season our attacks end with a desperate shot or cross which gets chalked down as a chance. But how many really could be described as such.
Plenty of abysmal crossing, clueless in the final third of the pitch

So let's get Poveda and Augustin on post haste. They may not be the answer, but the current lineup certainly isn't.

Incredibly frustrating watching this same scenario play out over and over.
The word frustrating came up a lot amongst our fans at the game today.

It's as if we made no new signings in the January window :(

Self-fulfilling prophecy refers to the socio-psychological phenomenon of someone "predicting" or expecting something, (a loss against Wigan last year was the beginning of our downfall) and this “prediction” or expectation comes true simply because one believes it will, and their resulting behaviors align to fulfil those beliefs.

(Kiko has a few nightmare games and every body says the team is too small and we suffer from burnout) This suggests peoples' beliefs influence their actions. (If you all believe that this is what is going to happen then it will happen)

Believe it or not I can predict the future. I said if JKA does not play and we lose then there will be a backlash against Bielsa. It is all so predictable. I think I will call it the Nketiah effect. If your expectations are not fulfilled then you propose an alternative, and when it also fails the simmering frustration turns to seething rage.

From the point of view of form and statistics Leeds should have won this game. The bookies were laying odds of 3/8 on and the over riding sentiment in the predictions thread was that we would give Wigan a thrashing. We all had the belief we would put this jinx to bed with a solid win... the comeback against Millwall had inspired that hope... and that was reinforced by us being at the top of the table.

So what went wrong? Well we just disregarded the stats the form and the odds and believed in the self fulfilling prophesy... be it unto you according to the words of your mouths.

What do you want from the season? Watching enjoyable football but not worried if we get success? Then you're right. You're also right the positives outweigh the negatives by a distance...problem is the negatives will probably kill our season. It like enjoying a car drive at high speed with everything on the car working perfectly except the breaks don't work...Great fun right up til you hit that brick wall
