Difference between three points and one in our competition.

No place to lay down a bet where I live.

I will be putting a nice one down next Saturday, however, and it will be on Leeds 3-0 Huddersfield

faaip wrote:Well first off Hull were twice the team Boro were, perhaps more. I thought we played well first half as we seemed to play around our striker today for the most part. Second half and particularly the last 30 we were stunningly good..That's how I'd like us to play going forward

Meslier - 8 - Not a lot to do but so assured doing it and seemed to always make the right decision. I think it will be 5 M well spent.
Ayling - 9 - Started like a rocket and never stopped really
Dallas - 8 - Just very solid
White - 7 - Not much to do today, quiet game for him
Cooper - 7 - Bit more up and down but same score in the end
Phillips - 7 - Quiet and not sure he was fully fit, good game though and he'll get the coach vote so that's something
Klich - 10 - Ran the show for about the 10th game running ...Coolness and class the calling cards
Costa - 10 - Outrageous skill at times, could have had a hat trick if not for some quality keeping.
Hernandez - 9 - Goal and assist iirc. Some lovely football today
Harrison - 10 - Imagine me like Homer Simpson thinking of pie...That good. He was Homer Simpson good

Roberts - 8 - Couple of off target passes but boy the finishing was quality and instinctive..2/3 defensive clearances too

Who else played ?
Think you've covered it all there .

Kiko I think would have just punched the ball out. He looked calm and assured... more mature than a 19 year old. His distribution was also excellent, only once did he kick it into touch..
and that shot that the big Hungarian striker rattled off the post I think he had it covered. Excellent debut, and if he plays like this for the rest of Kiko's suspension then we have nothing to fear.

Rab I think you'll find he found touch about 4 times at least. Other than that he did what he had to very well. Championys !

So pleased for the young keeper keeping a clean sheet, and reiterating what Rab said about his handling, looked calm the few times he was put under pressure.
Roberts, how I wish this lad could stay fit, he has all the skill and reads the game so well, the way he got away from Pennington for his second was the stuff of a natural goalscorer.

Much better 2nd half.

More intensity, slickness, desire.

Far better.

Massive credit to Harrison and Costa, frustrate people to death but today 2nd half they were superb largely (some moment of annoyance) and worked so hard.

Pablo was brilliant and is finding form now, few goals and assists last few games and pleased MB is starting to recognise that later in games he does need to come off.

Klich is sexy, the touch for the 1st Roberts goal was filth and the cross for the 2nd was filth.

Credit to Roberts, not been convinced by him think he gets a very easy ride for very little contribution in 2 years and an end product that has been average at best. But he took both chances very well, suited him coming on when we were 2 up imo and Hull bit more open.

Hull keeper denied us more goals, Meslier was bit nervy for me at times but to be expected, different ball game to the Arsenal game, he was ok.

Only concern is i thought KP was off it, careless on the ball, not always great at chasing back, not the 1st time a player has come back from injury and looked not right, not properly fit perhaps?

Shame JKA and Ian werent their, with how open Hull were late on would have been a great opportunity for them with the pace they have to make an impact.

Flat 1st half, much better 2nd, for once our shooting and final ball wasnt piss poor, once or twice yes but much better.
Signed

Tyler Roberts 2 chances = 2 goals. Bamford two tap ins in 12 games. With Big Kev due back soon, that should put serious pressure on him to start delivering. Glad we gave someone a thumping, improved the GD considerably. Klich and Harrison outstanding, KP looked well off the pac, maybe not fully fit. Meslier did well, especially with all their hoofing. More importantly, nothing for me to complain about. :)

Ref was so biased to Hull. How was Magennis not sent off for elbowing White if he saw it?

Yep, Sky made a point of showing him booting it into touch.

JFH made a good point that he's a left-footer and that the defence are still playing it back to his right side, as they would to Kiko - sure MB will get this fixed.

All in all Meslier did well, but I still feel our defending of set-pieces (which is usually the only threat we face each week) is woeful.

Really happy with that. The early goal second half killed Hull and allowed us some space at the back and we ripped them to shreds. Bamford face after Roberts second was priceless. I hope he is comfy on that bench because he should have double the goal tally he has and his all round play seems to be dropping now too, just can’t handle the pressure of playing for Leeds. Roberts and Augustin should both be ahead of him now.
Klich is a machine, Harrison is the most improved player in the league and Meslier looks more than able to be our number 1. Win against Huddersfield and things will be looking very good indeed, now come on Preston!!
