Still doesn't feel real to me Sara. I'm ecstatic but it's all very subdued. I suppose I feel relief more than anything, relief that I've had bottled up for God knows how long. A psychological defence mechanism after last season, perhaps? So many people are going wild, and rightfully so, but I'm just enjoying the calm, cool night. Everything just feels right.

Tough on your own tbf, the other half doesn't like football at all so no celebrations here either, she wanted to watch a movie so we did. Did put some beer in the fridge but forgot about it...

No phone calls, no e-mails, family full of Chelsea fans, all my friends too..so not surprising.

Having lived through the Glory Years you were used to the absolute elation of winning and total depression/disappointment at all the near misses and what could have beens.
Thus I was dreading the Derby and Charlton games. After all the great things that happened this season, we could still have effed it up.
When Huddersfield scored their second goal the weight of the world on my shoulders and the churning of my stomach both disappeared in an instant.

I’m a southern Leeds fan and people know me as a Leeds fan because that’s unusual for my age around here.

My dad originally being from Leeds took me to my first Leeds game when I was a kid. The first game I watched at Elland road, I don’t remember the football so much but the atmosphere. I still remember that feeling I got as young kid, being in absolute awe of the electric atmosphere. The experience I felt that day is still etched into my brain 30 years later and that is what hooked me on Leeds ever since.

I cannot begin to imagine what its going to feel like on the first full crowd at Elland Road in the premiership.

Like others have said, I think I'm relieved more than anything. 16 years of frustration and now I have to figure out what this new feeling is. Most of all I feel proud. But that never went away, really.

Long time lurker from downunder (Leeds supporter since I watched Alan Clarke score the winner in the 72 Cup final as a 7 year old) and was in tears the same night a year later.
It’s been so stressful waking up each morning and barely daring to look at the results.
Looking forward to some silverware and on to next season. Hope you guys will be able to enjoy those massive games at ER soon.

American South and English North are very alike in nature I've found, John. Only been to Alabama, Texas and Florida but they were by far some of the most hospitable, hardworking and welcoming folk I've ever met.
