Promotion would be our only chance of retaining White but a slim one indeed as we couldn't compete unless Radz sold LUFC

Plenty of concerns pre-match regarding Wednesday’s front pairing of Nuhiu & Fletcher and the aerial threat they’d pose to our back 3. Ben White won 5/7 defensive aerial duels today, more than any player involved. Add 3/3 tackles won & 2 interceptions last Saturday.

As with my initial thoughts on seeing Ben play in a friendly then at Bristol City he is so much like Rio when he was at Leeds

Would love to be able to keep him. Will have a special place in the club's history even though he only gave us one year.

The thought of White going back to Brighton having spent a year with a club like ours will not only hurt us, it will be painful for him too. To be mentored by the great Marcelo Bielsa will only exacerbate the lad’s pain. I’m hoping he puts his foot down and insists on staying, but he’s young and I can’t see it happening. But one can dream..........

Player of the season for me

Of course Pablo pulls the strings that really make us tick and creates magic out of nothing. But, Ben came here as a young lad, into the unknown of a new club and manager. Crikey, he’d probably never been north of Peterborough before.

The way he has bought into MB’s system in a single season and has consistently performed over that period is mighty impressive. Also, it has been clearly evident through the season and during the celebrations after the Derby game that he is also a valued member of thIs seemingly tight knit team/group of players off the pitch as well.

Wish him all the best in the future. I hope it’s with us, but somehow I can’t see it.

Hate to say it but i can't see him joining - mainly due to brighton's stance. Shame really as he's such a good player and seems to love playing for Leeds.

Definately a future england international, but signing him would blow a big chunk of our transfer budget.

Good luck Ben hopefully you'll be a united player again one day.
