He has that sort of face now , always looks like he's about to burst into tears . Heck was. Like it and especially Lee Clark when at Brum . Being s cry baby not good for a manager , really .

So, despite the money spent, credit must be given to Lampard. History is littered with high price crap teams but it takes a decent manager to put it all together
Were we wrong?
0 goals v top 6 sides this season though. They're just flat track bullies atm.
Danny Murphy saying Poveda should've gone down on MOTD. Disagree, as I dislike how easily players go down these days. The issue is it's exactly the same as Welbeck last week, and he didn't go down either. There's no consistency with these decisions, even with VAR.

I like what you did there. but what about the one Werner cleared off the line for us and the other 10 chances Chelski had. It could have bee 8-2 in the end.
I think you completely missed my point 1000.
Further down my post I said poor finishing by Chelsea helped us avoid a drubbing.
The point I was making was that at 1-1, Raphinha missed a glorious chance and had that gone in the game changes completely.
Only my opinion but I fancy us to get a 2-2 if Raphinha takes that chance.
Immaterial now of course but that few minutes when they scored after we missed was a pivotal point in the match.
The flowers of common sense do not grow in everyone's garden

No he shouldn't, Poveda did the right thing and deserves praise for it.
In fact some of his older teammates (Ayling) could learn from him.
Also credit to Ian for making the chance for a shot in the 1st place.

Watched the game and have to ask How come VAR was not used in Chelsea's 2nd goal when a player clearly fouled Liam Cooper??????????????????????????
Agree mate,... the inconsistancy of VAR is exactly why all the arguments against its use are perfectly valid... As for the pundits and fans alike who said Poveda should have gone down, no he stayed on his feet and fought, the obvious attempt to take him out should be enough after playing the advantage and if playing the advantage fails then make the call... works in rugby & hockey delayed penalty...and they do not use VAR!

Like everyone else I think they were the better side on the night and fully deserved their win. In fact they are, without doubt, the best team we’ve played so far this season and it wouldn’t surprise me if they went on to become Premier League champions.
Whether that is anything to do with Fat Frank’s ability as a manager though is a moot point, I think it’s probably more to do with his unlimited cheque book. Imo there is no comparison between him and Marcelo Bielsa and I know which of the two I would want managing my team. Wouldn’t mind Abramovich’s money though!
If you compare Fwat Fwank and MB as managers/coaches... it is so lop sided in MB's favour, knowledge wise, skill set wise there is no scale for it....Fwat Fwank knows how to ask for money, get it buy a player at ridiculous amounts of money, says hello and tells him he is starting saturday... I can do that ...Lets face it Fwat Fwank left Derby in a worse position then when he started why? No money!

He's the reason why Derby are where they are now, left them in a right mess. Yet their fans worship him for winning a play off semi final and bottling the final.

Absolutely spot on, Ges. They are probably the most impressive side I've seen this season and will be up there challenging all year. We are a work in progress with a team that cost less than Pulisic who started for them on the bench. Great to read some proper perspective amongst the doom. Possibly half of last night's starting 11 won't be in the side next season if we stay up, that's the reality. And putting them up against a billionaire side like Chelsea, Prem big hitters, is always likely to end up being a little one sided. Hate them, despise Fwank but they are a very good side. We're not. Yet!
ALAW
Impressive at times this season however Liverpool are a better side & will retain the PL trophy imo!
