Has a wonderful first touch, just needs to improve the 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Doesn't score enough goals given the amount of chances and gameplay he gets.

I agree. His composure in front of goal is poor, and his crosses are not great either. To me he panics a bit when he's in the final third. I would prefer to see him and Alioski swop positions, with Harrison a full back. Alioski's finishing is not great either, but I feel that he would pose more of a goal threat. If it's not working out then bring Costa on for Alioski.

I've never understood why so many fans rate him highly, nor the need for Bielsa to start him every match being a given.

Could have easily gone the other way for Jack tonight.

Had a couple that should have gone in and on another night he could have had a couple.

Worth reminding you that he was our top assist-maker last season. He’s joint top with Klich for most assists so far this season too.

Does not often score but supplies the team with a lot.

I think Jack is improving, he only beats the same player 3 times now, but he was a tad unlucky tonight , played well and should have got at least a goal

Jack did play well, thought the majority of our team were excellent Velo, we just need more goals from our attacking players

I totally agree mate, as you said, I just wish we could find the net more often.... I was down to the second knuckle by half time, but the lads played well, infact very well, deserved more than a 1:0 , but 3 pts is great
looking forward to putting Lumpard under the microscope ...LOL, you know what I mean !

I find it surprising that only 2 crosses were successful. He was better than that. But the assist for the goal was brilliant. His goal was even better. To all the doubters. Thats what happens when you back your own players - like Bielsa does.

Well that has been an issue with him all the time he has been at the club, so it's not really that surprising. And that's when he has a good game....Our best winger right now is easily Raphina.

But the two biggest moments of quality were his assist and goal.

Tbf to JH we know he has ability, the goal vs Liverpool for example.

And wingers are generally inconsistent, the better ones less so.

Jack is still extremely inconsistent and that is the problem, he must build on his Newcastle performance now not live off it for ages like he did the Liverpool one.

Totally agree, the cross for the goal from Rodrigo was good but it was good as in he controlled it and fired it into the danger area, it took some great finishing to make the assist. The goal he scored well it was amazing and one of those 1 in 100 attempts. Those two moments make a few rave about him and forget how poor he was for the first 45 minutes.

He has moments of class but more often than not he’ll string together three games where he frustrates the hell out of you.

Just before his goal I was livid with him wishing he was pulled but then he scores a worldy...that's how inconsistent he is .
