I agree H...however imo it has reached a stage where he should be only playing in the u23's to try and figure out what is wrong, at the risk of sounding "repatative"...I am convinced it is a mental thing and can be worked out, but it wont be playing under the pressure of the 1st team.

Not sure I agree with that - I thought he was poor last season. Certainly his performances didn't warrant us signing him permanently.

I thought he did well enough for us last season and started this season well enough too.

But his form has dropped.

I still wouldn't write him off and think he needs more playing time before we do so. There is the issue of the gulf class between him and Raphinha which doesn't help him.

I can't get over the quality of the goals we are scoring this season. So many absolute screamers.

Watched the game late today as I had a hike planned for early morning. Was a lot of trouble avoiding the news and scores so I could watch the game "like live". Brilliant performance by the lads and definitely noticed some tweaks to the system. Bielsa clearly has told the defenders to quit fannying around with the ball at the back and clear the lines when there's a lot of pressing by the opposition. This helped prevent us getting caught with the ball, even if it meant turning the ball over (but in less dangerous positions). Also, as someone mentioned, I also noticed us allowing the opposition the ball a lot more and biding our time to counter attack. I think these tweaks may have surprised Leicester City as they were probably expecting our "normal" game.

Thought many on the team had an excellent game. Pleased that Bamford had a good game and hopefully no injury. Certainly might go on one of his hot streaks again. Struijk was solid bar one loose pass, and not shepherding the ball out of play allowing himself to give away a corner; otherwise solid. Cooper also an excellent game giving 100% but he really needs to stop holding the opposition forwards as many refs would give a PK for what he did today. Downsides are that Rodrigo looks crocked for a few weeks, and possibly Rapha too. And Rapha's replacement today hardly shone.

Assuming Bam Bam is OK (as he himself said), then I expect the next game will seeMB bring in Pablo in for Rodders alongside Klich, with Costa out wide. Else, Klich in for Rodders, Dallas in CM again, and Costa out wide. Not expecting any wild changes. Perhaps Tyler gets a game? Either way with Rodders and Rapha out, possibly Bamford too, there's potential for Greenwood or Gelhardt to get a place on the bench.

EDIT: want to also add that I thought Brendan Rogers was class in shaking and congratulating all of our players at the end of the game.

It seems that we took a slightly more cautious aproach today - biding our time to launch attacks. This is what a number of fans asked for against the better sides - especially ones which counter quickly.

What I have been saying for a while now and my main criticsm of MB.

at ER, we were fair too gung ho, playing at times with 8 strikers, just to be caught on the break, exciting to watch, but terribly naive and sure to get relegated.

This time, we played more with our brains.

We can and should play like this all season. We did against both everton and arsenal with good effect.

Sure Leicester had chances, but our defence was in position to deal with them, and not still stranded in the opponents half.

Technically of course we can still go down, but its now highly unlikely.....lets look up the table
