To be fair, none of us know exactly what's going on regarding Pablo....its all just guess work and supposition

It will be Costa although id prefer Poveda or Summerville.

I love Pablo as much as anyone, probably my favourite player with Aliiiiiiiii over the last few years.

But 36 year olds with a history of dodgy hammies dont play winger in the Premier league.

36 year olds with a history of dodgy hammies absolutely definitely dont play winger in a Bielsa side where all it takes is for one player to lose their man and the whole system is in trouble.

Risking Pablo against Man City playing on the wing would be insanity.

Why would you put Summerville in a position of weakness for his first start, if you watch the U23's you'll have noticed he's way less effective on the left. I think the same applies to Poveda and Raphinha. Raph so much more dangerous when playing on the right.

We're looking for a left winger, Harrison, Alioski and Costa are our best three with Huggins the natural promotion from the 23's

Exactly Swannie...said it so many times , but some just will not let it go...when he has had the chance he has not taken it well enough to establish himeself back in the side, no amount of sentimentality will make it any different, sadly Pablo is not only over the hill, he is well on the downward slope... Time to just remember him as he was, I would hate to see him embarressed against Citeh... And if he plays and proves me wrong I will bare my arse in woolly's window...

I have no doubt it will be Costa.

However Costa generally struggles when he starts due to the initial intensity, he is not a physical player who relishes a 50/50 challenge. For me his best performances have been as a sub. I think he needs the game to be stretched with tired legs so that he can exploit space. Against City he is likely to be anonymous if he starts.
I would prefer Poveda as a starter, he is better with the ball in tight spaces and can draw a foul which will be invaluable as we will get pressed just as intently as we try to do likewise. Quality on the ball and not surrendering possession needlessly will be key to getting anything from the game.
Whoever is playing on the left will get little change out of Walker when it comes to pace.
As much as I admire Alioski for his service to the team he will be tormented by City if he starts, regardless of his position. Lacks concentration and composure, which is frequently exploited at this level. I would put Dallas as LB and play Shacks in the middle with Robert’s as we will need that energy to compete.
