Re: Covid passports/Restrictions scrapped.
More than 50,000 daily coronavirus cases have been reported in the UK for the first time since mid-January.
There were 51,870 cases recorded - the highest figure since 15 January - and 49 deaths within 28 days of a positive test.
From Monday, lockdown rules will end in England - although some guidance will remain.
England's chief medical officer warned hospital admissions could hit "scary numbers".

Here is a fine example of the right wing media discussing Joe Biden's idea to have community activists visit areas with low Corona virus vaccination rates to try to convince more people to get the vaccine.
https://sam.crooksandliars.com/2021/07/ ... uns-bibles
For those who can't be bothered looking it up. It's from 6 days ago at the Conservative conference held in Dallas. The two hosts explain that after visiting to tell you about the vaccine the next thing they will do is come around to take your guns and your bibles.
This is the kind of 'information' that stations like Fox news are spewing out every day of the year. If you've never seen any it would be a real eye opener for you to watch some of Tucker Carlson or Sean Hannity from the Fox News channel.

I saw that in the Netherlands, they re-opened everything, then three weeks later they had to go back into lockdown again due to the vast rise in cases. Unfortunately, I can only see the same thing happening here thanks to Boris the Clown and his incompetence. Cue lockdown in September, when I'm meant to be going back to work.

Indeed Boris & his cronies are clowns, they did the same last summer to protect themselves from the media whilst they are holidaying with their families.SG90 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 17, 2021 10:13 am I saw that in the Netherlands, they re-opened everything, then three weeks later they had to go back into lockdown again due to the vast rise in cases. We'll be extremely annoyed if our holiday breaks in September & October are deferred yet again due to lockdown 4.
My next concern is travelling on coaches to Leeds games, I may decide to drive!

Meanwhile in Australia… today we had about 130 cases in total and one death (a man in his 80s), and as a result two state governments have more than 7 million people in lockdown!!
We have had 3 or 4 people die from covid this year, yet some people and businesses are into their 3rd lockdown of the year!
You think your pollies are nuts?

Ministers and officials are waiting to find out if they will have to self-isolate after Health Secretary Sajid Javid tested positive for coronavirus.
It is understood Mr Javid had a meeting with the prime minister on Friday, hours before he started feeling unwell.
But as of late Saturday night, Boris Johnson had not been contacted by NHS Test and Trace.
Serves Javid bloody well right for being so complacent about the present situation.

Cases Cases Cases...Anyone for a holiday.
Its interesting to hear Sajid Javid claiming his mild Covid symptoms were because of his double jab and yet Andrew Marr's heavy covid symptoms were despite the double jab. Maybe it depends on which jab you have.

Freud has said that our well-being and mental health is related to our willingness and ability to work.
That has been taken away from many people and consequently whether we realize it or not we suffer... through no fault of our own but by government policy.

It's a impossible balancing act.
You are correct about mental health issues but quite often it's in part to blame with those suffering. Been locked down doesn't stop you exercising, doesn't stop you doing home improvements and if you have a garden turn it into the best in the street.
However I see some (certainly not all) out of work people with overgrown gardens and homes requiring attention happy to sit in front of the TV all day.
It's a bit like retirement those who keep active and have interests on average live longer and suffer less mental health issues than those that do nowt.

That's 1.9% deaths - no more than normal 'flu - the whole thing has been exaggerated beyond belief.1964white wrote:

Lockdown was a joke.
I realise many people died from c19 but surely, no more than from regular 'flu!
I was diagnosed with it and was asymptomatic (apart from the temperature spike of 105.6) and was released from hospital on the day of testing.
OK, prove me wrong and I'm quite happy if someone can.
Most people (probably 97%), like me, get it and get over it because they have good immune systems.
Actually I think the amount of alcohol I consume protects me from these pesky diseases. It probably protects me from the clap, rabies and mixomatosis too.

Problem is we don't have accurate death figures for Covid. Within 28 days of a positive test means f**k all. You could get a positive test and die from Cancer which would be added to the Covid figures. For me Covid has to be the main cause of death. Same as it is with Flu
