Nice boost for Summerville but a very weak bench.

What's that 38M on the bench and Koch not playing?

Roberts is just a stocking filler, Summerville is un-tried, Rodrigo has the capability but rarely delivers. The others aren't worth mentioning and it shows our lack of depth where quality is concerned.

Still banging the Roberts drum Faaip.

I liked the look of the lad when he first arrived from WBA, but he's failed to kick on. There's a player in there somewhere, but I'm b*ggered if I can see even Marcelo getting it to come out.

He'll probably come on and score the winner now. :roflmao:

The fact that Rodrigo cant nail down a place in our starting 11 under Bielsa, a man who rarely ever makes changes unless injuries or suspensions force it is as close as we will get to an admission that the Rodrigo transfer hasnt worked how the club hoped.

Kinnear can say whatever he likes in his notes and Bielsa can claim to be "satisfied" all he likes but we know he wants a central midfielder and a winger.

To not get them is a failure of a window and for Rodrigo to not have a guaranteed role in our starting 11 shows another transfer failure imo.

Your opinion of course. Roberts was good last week. Rodrigo outstanding as the 9 back end of last season. Everyone is untested till their not. It's around 38M worth of talent

Looks a lot stronger team than last week. Klich Dallas and Philips in midfield should stop us getting overrun.
Hopefully won't need any gamechangers from bench if we are a couple of goals to the good.
Either way would love to see Summerville get a run out.
Looks like this is it anyway with little hope of any more transfers in, so will be a good test of where we are this term.

I thought the Man U full backs made Rodders look extremely slow last week. He was probably never lightning to start with and he's 30 now, but his game is built more on strength and skill - excellent finisher, but can't seem to get involved and influence games as often as I'd like. Falling between stools, I wonder if he'd leave if an offer from Spain came in for him? He can't be happy either, though he gets on with it like the model pro he is.

Can’t see an offer coming in for him from Spain most of them are skint and even if an offer did come in it would probably be unacceptable to us because as it stands he’s worth less than half what we paid for him. He’s just going to have to plug away, do his best and hope Bambi gets injured.

Doing ok, but Struijk needs to learn to stop giving it away.
