Utterly unconvincing. Powder puff up front however a win is a win and that will do the teams morale and confidence no end of good. There's no doubt we are not as fit as last season . Rodrigo looks out of his depth maybe it's the physical battles he can't handle . Roberts unlucky not to score .Firpo gives me the jitters every time he gets the ball.... Barcelona...yeah right ! A slightly better team than Watford wouldv got summat out of that game. 1-0 but it's just papering over large cracks.

We are reluctant to shoot and over-complicate the most obvious shooting opportunities.

We shoot when we shouldn’t, and badly.

Feck, I’m drained after that. Sweet 3 points, no one can take them away. 😎

Not many chances that the keepr had to deal with.

Not seen the full time numbers but at half time it was;

Leeds (0.39) 1-0 Watford (0.08)

Generally good results elsewhere for us too (ideally a Wolves - Newcastle draw would have made it perfect IMO).

3 shots on target from 20 (Watford 1 from 5): we really need to be sorting that out and fast.

Some of the positives for me:
1. Firpo and Shackleton as our fullbacks were excellent today. Still a couple of mistakes in Shackleton, but the positives were much better than the negatives. Starting to see a player in Firpo now he's working it all out.
2. Llorente: we're a better and more composed team with him> Would prefer him with Struijk but hey-ho.
3. James: Starting to see what he can do with a bit of space to run into. needs to work on his final ball a bit more.
4. Special mention for Roberts today, Did exactly what he was asked of and unlucky not to score. Doesn't deserve any pelters this week.

Get in there we needed that to get that monkey off our backs. Only watched 45mins due to work but Watford looked like they wanted the ground to open up and swallow them. They looked punch drunk and out on their feet, as the saying goes, they will sleep well tonight. On the evidence of that second half they will struggle to survive this season.

It takes a returning from injury defender to show the lads how to put the ball in the net, any goal poacher would have been happy with that finish Lineker esk. You gotta say about Llorente, despite all of his injuries he does like to throw himself into things. I was worried about him at the end there but thankfully his fragility came thru for a change.

On that 2nd half performance i'm gonna go Shacks for MOM i thought the lad played really well, despite a slack pass at the end. I don't know why we can't stick the ball in the net maybe a trip to the hypnotist may remedy it, but we do need to get it sorted, but for now. A and i mean A.... big win in the context of things now we need to build on it.

Much much much better today. Firpo and James look to be coming on a treat, only thing is we really should have won 5-0 at least instead of us being on edge right up to the final whistle.

Arhh i forgot about that Roberts scissor kick at the end. That would have been goal of the decade from that angle. Its was that audacious it caught me by surprise.

Relief to get the win and a clean sheet, but we can't keep clinging on hoping for 1-0s. A better side would've got something from that, so we need to start taking chances.

I often wondered if Bielsa's plan to get points on the table is to make every team we play put in such a shift, that they lose there next games after us. When we play bottom of the table teams, they then drop more points than us which propels us higher. With this theory you could see how Watford would lose their next game against whoever.

If Dallas is injured, Bate should be moving up the pecking order.

I do agree about Geldhart bb, but if that shot from Tyler had gone in and not hit the bar it would have been a wonder goal. At least he gave the shot a go

In a way I hope he is injured... mildly. He needs a break to sort his head out. Summat has upset him .

Agree tbh. We all know MB won't drop/rest him.

Defensively (as in spatially aware) he’s better than Ayling.
Looking forward to him being dropped when Ayling's back then

Think Roberts deserves a bit of credit.

That shot was a great effort to would have been a goal of the season contender

That happens to almost any team bar the usual top four who have bigger squads.
I have won over a grand since Bielsa took charge and it’s the only bet I ever put on.
The bookies must hate me.

Still don't understand why Bate isn't on the bench, to come on for the final 10 mins to cover the tired legs in midfield.

Tbf, when he’s on form, Ayling is more of a MB overall forward-wise

Good effort - fine, but it’s still a miss. He has scored one goal in the Premier League. What do we expect when he comes on - nothing, and that’s what we get.

We need a finisher, either from the U23’s or on loan in January. Roberts is not that player. We will pay in dropped points unnecessarily otherwise.

Bate is 18, it won’t happen anytime soon.
