Time for a Forshaw, Johnny Giles midfield masterclass. A year from now he's gonna be lifting the World Cup, remember where you heard it first folks

Re: Spurs v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Gelhardt in for Rodrigo
Sorry - but rubbish to say we suffer more injuries under Bielsa. Drill down into the detail and the majority of players out with injuries since the start of his tenure concern in game injuries rather than training related. What is clear is that the return from injury is lengthened due to the meticulous nature of fitness requirements before they are considered for 1st team action.
The injury care and recovery is on par if not better than any other team in the EPL.

Look in the OED for the word "makeshift" and you'll find a picture of today's lineup.
No Bamford, no Raphinha, no Rodrigo, no Firpo......
If we get any kind of result today it will be great.
I think these boys can do it. Time for Gelhardt and James to step up and for Klich and Harrison to return to form.

Harrison and James really need to step up in the absence of Raph. Excited Gelhardt finally gets his chance. 1st goal will be crucial for us. If we go behind it will be long afternoon. If we score first and can play on the break we may get something out of this one.
But James and Harrison playing well and producing some end product will be crucial.

Announcers here in the US are talking like they expect James to play up top.
I think they're a bit misguided.

Would be nice to see us be a bit more pragmatic.
We have done it before but it's rare.
Their is a time and a place for front foot football, this isn't it.

Here we go, the two year international break is finally over.
What do you mean, it just felt like that?

Could be a battling point for us or a drubbing....let's hope for the former.

They have to be up for this and to step up, we need something from it. If not, this could be worse than the scummers humiliation yesterday.

What happened to the referee’s instruction to let the game flow? No tackling allowed.

If only we had a proven target man, we'd be ahead by now.

Cooper with a brilliant header to keep Kane from going in alone
