Never Mind the Bollocks and Surfer Rosa are the only two game changer albums I've heard in my lifetime. Surfer Rosa being the superior effort. I'm a little young for the mid sixties into psychedelia game changers
I would put Radiohead's 'Kid A' in that category, unfortunately didn't win the 2000 poll
Still considered, by Radiohead connoisseur fans, their best album.
Led Zep II
Clash Londons calling
Sex pistols Never mind the bollocks
Led Zep III
Pink Floyd Wish you were here
Smiths The Queen is dead
Supertramp Crime of the century
Smiths The Smiths
Nirvana Nevermind
Pink Floyd Dark side of the moon
" Man is not affected by events but by the view he takes of them "
Beatles Sgt Pepper
Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon
Marvin Gaye What’s going on
Sex Pistols Never Mind
Beatles Revolver
Led Zeppelin 2
Clash London Calling
Kate Bush Kick Inside
Neil Young After the Gold Rush
David Bowie Ziggy
I think only two of these would appear on my personal top ten, so it was a bit of a struggle but in the interest of playing the game by the rules here goes:
Clash 'London Calling' (Cat)
Neil Young 'After The Gold Rush' (Onemore)
Led Zeppelin II (BB)
Pixies 'Surfer Rosa' (Ges)
Pink Floyd 'Dark Side Of The Moon' (Andrew)
Sex Pistols 'Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols' (Durly)
David Bowie 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' (64)
U2 'The Joshua Tree’ (Finn)
Radiohead 'Bends' (64)
Sonic Youth 'Goo' (Sara)
Led Zeppelin II (BB)
Led Zeppelin III (Finn)
Pink Floyd 'Wish You Were Here' (64)
David Bowie 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' (64)
Pink Floyd 'Dark Side Of The Moon' (Andrew)
David Bowie 'Station To Station' (MJ)
Beatles 'Sgt. Peppers' (Finn)
Supertramp 'Crime Of The Century' (Mrs 64)
Sex Pistols 'Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols' (Durly)
Beatles 'Rubber Soul' (Hector)
Hopelessly lost.................. But making good time
01 Beatles - Revolver
02 Beatles - Sgt. Pepper
03 Kate Bush - The Kick Inside
04 Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
05 Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus
06 Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks
07 Clash - London Calling
08 U2 - The Joshua Tree
09 Led Zeppelin - II
10 Joy Division - Closer
Easily could have been five or six others and a few of these could be in any order at any given time.

But that shows how the voters are swayed towards particular genres and the whole list is skewed in favour of that . Great album by the way
The only soul album to win one of the 57 years polls. I was surprised it won the 1971 poll, being a very competitive rock orientated year
