Yes, I am disappointed we didn't get the win Mick. I've supported Leeds Utd for 52 years and get sweaty palms every game because I crave those wins. I didnt actually see the game but it all seemed to go pear shaped after the injuries. Maybe down to odd substitutions? I get people being concerned, I'm concerned as well, but there's not a lot I can do to change it. Whingeing and moaning and slagging off the lads and Bielsa every 5 mins ain't gonna change it either.

Could not see us getting a second goal and we were beginning to look completely out of ideas. Then up pops our main men, Raphinha for a wicked corner, a brave header on by Ayling and great goal scoring instincts from Bamford.

A bit like Wolves, it felt like a win because it was so unlikely. Had to get 4 points out of the last two games but there are cracks everywhere in the team. Crowd were magnificent yet again and there is a fight in this team that is special.

I’d have a big worry about what Bielsa is at. Not putting on Cresswell for Cooper was a disaster. We lost Ayling at RB(which cost us for their second goal, we lost Dallas in midfield and Harrison did the sub total of nothing for us. It’s kamikaze tactics and hurt us badly - but it could actually have been worse.

I didn't see the game but kept in the know via this forum and at half time thought we were cruising but suddenly it came crashing down and seemed like Leeds we're having one of those 'Elland Road moments' again. Baffling decisions and injuries to major players put our backs against the wall but somehow they found that never say die attitude again and rescued a point. We really needed to follow up Tuesdays win with another today which would've seen us fly up to 11th with plenty of breathing space but once again we failed to hold on to a winning position which is costing us massively. Putting the 2 games this week into perspective...we could very easily have mustered just a point between the 2 but due to injury time in both games we've managed 4 points which for a relegation threatened team is very good however the games ahead are hammerings waiting to happen and it's the consequences I'm more concerned about. Goal difference may play a big part in terms of the relegation spots but I can see us conceding double figures in the next 4 games and the confidence totally drained. Worrying times ahead....

Said that at the time 64. Its not like Brentford were putting our defenders under that much pressure throughout the game. It would have been a good game imo to let the kid gain more experience. Once Phillips goes off aswell its all at sea again.

Glad some of our fans realised it was a huge error others will think he made the correct decision.

We may as well start with only four subs, Harrison, Klich, Bamford & Rodrigo. Marcelo obviously doesn't trust Cresswell who handled Antonio & Bowen exceptionally well, we haven't seen him since.

On the Cooper substitution.

Why make three positional changes when one would do by bringing on Cresswell?

It goes completely against what most managers want, a steady side.

It just highlights what we already know, Bielsa has no real faith in anyone outside of his first choice 18.

I still think its pretty poor management tbh, how must it make Cresswell and Gelhardt feel for example playing well and then be dropped and completely cast aside even when logic calls for them?

Maybe Bielsa plans to use Charlie in the easy games against city, pool , Chelsea and arsenal. More mind boggling decisions resulting in musical positions again.

I've just replied to Mick about my concern Cjay and that I can do bog all about the situation, as can nobody else on this forum. I did find the Cooper sub baffling though. Why not play Cresswell? Only MB can answer that one and he may well do in his post match press conference.
As for some on here wanting us to fail? Who can answer that apart from anyone who wants us to fail.

Ayling to CB - played there numerous times, also easier for him to last the full game as he expends less energy than at RB having been out for a while, more experienced than Cresswell.

Dallas to RB - played there numerous times and for NI.

Roberts to Dallas’s vacant position as AM, which he did well IMO.

James to CF because Roberts dropped back (plays there for Wales on his own or as a two with Kieffer Moore)
Bamford obviously rusty having been out for eleven games.

Harrison on for James’ vacant LW slot, also tracks back to help out Firpo who’s only just started playing again.

There is no doubt losing Phillips and the effect it had on our shape was a turning point. But this is an issue we were well aware of last year. We have done nothing to improve the quality of the squad in the midfield in terms of signings. Forshaw returning from injury is a plus but he does not have the influence of Phillips and is essentially a sideways and backwards player. Effective at breaking up play but offers little going forwards. The decline of Klich is obvious. My biggest concerns is our left side. Their first goal had an element of luck as it just fell nicely to their scorer after a deflection. The second goal was atrocious defending.
Firpo is not at the races defensively. He stands off when he should close down and jumps in when he should be standing off. If the likes of Cresswell and Gelhardt can not get a game how the hell does he ???? Our left side offensively and defensively is just not good enough. The recruitment of a replacement for Alioski has been very poor and we are suffering. This was a key area as was midfield - Orta and Bielsa have got the recruitment all wrong. Dan James was a luxury purchase, who may turn out to be money well spent in the long run but he was not a priority for the team. Ironically, I suspect we would have got him for less than half that in January window

We have spirit and fight and that showed in abundance getting the equaliser but we are too easily played through by any team with a modicum of pace. I do not think we are in any real danger of going down but we will flirt with the relegation places all season. Trying to overall this team with a new manager during the summer will be one hell of a job. The club need to get it right.

Why is it so baffling to some?

Because stability and consistency in selection is what players want.

Cooper came off Cresswell comes on, 1 player change, no great disruption.

It seems totally unnecessary to move erm James, Dallas, Ayling and Roberts, nearly half your outfield players because of 1 selection change.

It also shows a complete lack of faith in Cresswell, can't be great for the young lads confidence same as Joffy the other week.
