A disgraceful reaction from a director of our football club.

Maybe
Some of the Orta stuff is funny but a lot of the time it's cringe.
What would he have done if nobody got in his way? Had a fight?

For the reasons specified we disagree.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 6:11 pm Because stability and consistency in selection is what players want.
Cooper came off Cresswell comes on, 1 player change, no great disruption.
It seems totally unnecessary to move erm James, Dallas, Ayling and Roberts, nearly half your outfield players because of 1 selection change.
It also shows a complete lack of faith in Cresswell, can't be great for the young lads confidence same as Joffy the other week.

Nothing wrong with showing passion. Overall I think Orta has done well, but I think his recruitment is somewhat made very difficult trying to find players who meet the Bielsa requirements. Ultimately Bielsa has the final say. Whilst he is a great coach I have a feeling that he may over think and over analyse. When I watch him on the sidelines he just appears full of anxiety at times.
Having said that he has got us where we are and there are very few coaches who could have done that. It is very frustrating to see how things are starting to slightly unravel. I just hope that if he does go at the end of the season - which looks likely his legacy will not be remembered for this season. Which, let’s face from a footballing perspective is distinctly average when compared to his first 3 years.

You can do anything if you are wearing a Harry Potter duffle coat... I fully expected him to pull a wand out of his pocket and say Expelliarmus or at least Crinus Muto - to changes hair color and style
of the person he was shouting at.

Because some fans want youth to be in the team. Maybe the step up from u23 is very large as we see with lots of youth plays on loan at Barrow or Wrexham for exampleFinnatic wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 6:05 pm Cooper substitution - Struijk and Koch injured…
Ayling to CB - played there numerous times, also easier for him to last the full game as he expends less energy than at RB having been out for a while, more experienced than Cresswell.
Dallas to RB - played there numerous times and for NI.
Roberts to Dallas’s vacant position as AM, which he did well IMO.
James to CF because Roberts dropped back (plays there for Wales on his own or as a two with Kieffer Moore)
Bamford obviously rusty having been out for eleven games.
Harrison on for James’ vacant LW slot, also tracks back to help out Firpo who’s only just started playing again.
Why is it so baffling to some?

I said the same myself, but the sub was on 16 mins, and we dominated the game until half time. Our problems began when Kalvin got injured.

The players are confused, the fans are confused... just imagine the consternation in the opposition ranks... and then Roberts scores a goal... is it another magicians move from Bielsa? Another way of looking at it.

I just think you do the team talk everyone knows what's required then fifteen minutes later you are reshuffling the pack to accommodate rather than putting a cb in his natural position. We want to See Ayling linking up down the right its his best position. Leave James on the wing its where he does the damage. Let Dallas see if he can influence the game further up the field, we all know he can score good goals. All changed after 15 minutes when all it needed was Cresswell to step in imo. That is the one glaring difference between Bielsa & O Leary.1964white wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 5:19 pm Glad some of our fans realised it was a huge error others will think he made the correct decision.
We may as well start with only four subs, Harrison, Klich, Bamford & Rodrigo. Marcelo obviously doesn't trust Cresswell who handled Antonio & Bowen exceptionally well, we haven't seen him since.

Because we were on top & only one change was required, surely Cresswell was the obvious answerFinnatic wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 6:05 pm Cooper substitution - Struijk and Koch injured…

Do you realise we rarely win a game when Ayling plays as a CB?
Those changes & the loss of Phillips totally disabled the rhythm of our game as we defended like schoolboys in a mad opening 20 minutes of the second-half, thankfully Brentford attempted to defend their lead allowing us back in the game, although we never looked likely to score until Paddy saved the day in the dying seconds.

Due to goal difference we have essentially a 7 point lead over 18th which will surely come in handy over the next 4 or 5 games when let’s face it we will be lucky to get a point. Having said that we have raised our game against the top teams before so you never know might get a point or 2 which could be enough to keep that lead over 18th. Burnley on the 2nd of jan could be massive.

I have no proof but i have never believed that personally. We wouldn't have had so many misses if that were the case. I genuinely think he leaves Orta to it?DDB220 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 6:26 pm Nothing wrong with showing passion. Nar we are not that short sighted. Last season was overreach finishing 9th and got us all dreaming again. I got caught up with it myself. The club and maybe Bielsa thought they could repeat the feat with the same squad and that is obviously proving very difficult. First season back in the PL the players have something to prove. This season maybe the novelty wears thin abit and the enthusiasm that carried the team last year start to wane a bit. Either that or Alioski was better than we all gave him credit for.

I see, somehow you managed to bring some classic William Blake into the equation. The Doors also managed to incorporate this into the 'End of the Night' Realms of bliss, realms of light, some are born to sweet delight.
Now we go on a winning run starting with the Chelsea Scum, Citeh, Scouse and the Arse!

It's the one glaring difference to the majority of PL coaches.Leeds1000 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 05, 2021 6:35 pm I just think you do the team talk everyone knows what's required then fifteen minutes later you are reshuffling the pack to accommodate rather than putting a cb in his natural position. Playing players out of their natural positions & making so many changes as a consequence seems to be ok for some on here. Fans at the game weren't happy!
Sheer madness & definitely cost us today, as his crazy substitutions have done in the past.
