So we are actually praising him for not being corrupt ?

Hi Velo yea seems that way, I think he was pretty fair to both sides today for a change, I did think Antonio could have been sent off for two yellows but the second yellow would have been for diving and they rarely appear

Credit where's credits due, I hate MD with a passion, but I hold my hands up he was fair, yes Antonio should have walked, but that was never going to happen

Could have sent Antonio off twice. 1st for the studs up tackle on Koch for which he gave a yellow which he could easily have given a red. The 2nd when he could have given Antonio a 2nd yellow for the cheating dive in our penalty area. Apart from that he and VAR (for once) got most of the other decisions right 7/10

I'll give a steady 7, nah make that 6, Antonio was a red for that studs up challenge, do I say that because I'm United, no, I say that simply because in todays game, a game where our players get a straight red for that sort of challenge, the same applies.

Referees in general never seem to get on top of time wasting and Kavanagh was particularly culpable today. I often think they don’t try and stop it because they are glad of a breather themselves, but Newcastle’s time wasting gamesmanship in this match was very obvious and very excessive. It is so frustrating for players and fans alike that it is allowed to continue with impunity throughout the full 90 minutes.

On the plus side he did wave away San Maximin’s penalty appeal which could have been given. 4/10

Kavanagh is probably as nieve as they come, or just corrupt, he has no idea of the 'gamesmanship' in todays football, which pi55es me off, so 1/10 and I'm being generous

Change the record, Velo. It seems that every week you accuse the referee of being “corrupt”

Do you really think that the whole roster of referees in this country are having or showing a willingness to act dishonestly in return for money or personal gain ?……Whilst as fans we may disagree with some of their decisions (as the fans of any team do), especially when you lose, I do not believe that the referees in the country are ‘corrupt’.

A poor referee doesn’t equal a corrupt referee

Yesterday, I’d give CK a 4/10

Kavanagh overall was okay the biggest issue was him having no bottle with regards time wasting, he did well not falling for ASM’s play acting and complaining, but he can’t be blamed for the fact we couldn’t score, we could have played on until Wednesday and we wouldn’t have scored.
