I don't think our fans have come to terms with we aren't top dog like we're essentially were (or thought we were all those years in the wilderness)
Our fans are concerned, even more so now after yet another fiasco against a team who didn't get out of 2nd gear, we assisted the majority of their goals.

Don't remember a season when we've had multiple humiliations like this.

Klopp adapted Liverpool slightly when they lost Van Dijk and Matip and them other players.

I find it difficult to use the injuries as an excuse when

1) the club passed up the opportunity in January to bring in reinforcements so therefore the club dont feel the injuries should be an excuse.

2) We make no allowances for them, in our style of pay or tactics, nothing, we play as if nothing has changed.

If the current Champions at the time had to adapt slightly to try and cope better with their injuries then so should we, if Bielsa is incapable then that is poor for a coach being paid millions, if he is unwilling because he doesnt feel the squad can adapt or he doesnt want to then that reflects badly on him in both scenarios because he has helped build an inflexible 1 dimensional squad and is actively putting his philosophy over the clubs survival.

Neither explanations reflect well on a man being paid millions of pounds a year.
Liverpool finished 3rd with van dijk and matip out , having those two players out killed any chance of challenging city for the league , thats despite having a front line of salah , mane, firmino.

And without Klopp adapting his philosophy they probably dont make top 4.

Klopp sacrificed his principles somewhat to increase his sides chances of doing what he is ultimately paid for, picking up points.

Bielsa hasnt adapted at all, not made any allowances for our injuries at all.

klopp still had world class squad to pick from , you're having to play a wide player upfront the comparison isn't fair mate Liverpool have a world class squad .

Would you rather Newcastle go down playing pretty football or stay up playing hoof ball like Bruce?

Bielsa will take us down playing pretty football if that is what happens, that is the stark reality of it, he willl not change at all.

If you were 1-0 up with 5 minutes to go last game of the season needing a win to stay up Howe would park the bus, no question, he wouldnt give it a second thought despite his preference for pretty football.

Bielsa wouldn't, he would push us forward regardless.

That is the difference and that actually highlights my point

roberts , geldhart just aren't in the same class as bamford.

he could play rodrigo up there but you are seriously light in midfield, shack isn't a right back , you don't have the squad depth to cope,

ideally you need to spend between £100 - £150 mil in investment to sustain those levels you want to achieve.

my club just spent over £90 mil in January just there.

Not a great time to change managers but in any other club with this run of results Bielsa would be gone......if he stays nothing will change....if he goes then who knows...same ...worse or a change of style that keeps us up.....I realise that with a dozen or so games to go change is unlikely.....so it will probably be hello to all our old friends in the championship.

we were playing hoofball under bruce , since howe has came in we are attacking and pressing far more than we have ever done under bruce  we also keep possession better under Howe we finally have found a position for joelinton despite him being bought for £40 mil as a striker :roflmao:

Thank you.

I'll still be there for my beloved club if we are relegated to the championship.

I never expected us to return to the PL when I was trudging round grounds like Carlisle, Wycombe, Cheltenham, Swindon, Scunthorpe, Yeovil, etc, so If I have to take the rough with the smooth, so be it,
