We were absolutely awful and defensively a shambles under Bielsa this season.

Now he’s gone, the glaring mistakes he made such as man marking - which supposedly ruined our midfield - are gone, new tactics in place, called for players chosen, players coming back in, new manager in place.

Who’s to blame now after 10 days with the new manager, 2 defeats out of 2, appalling showing on the pitch?

So why bring in an unproven manager on a long contract rather than sticking with Bielsa till the summer? Makes no sense.

Is it a case of desperate times call for desperate measures. Did Marsch talk his way into the job. Did his appointment offer good value or did the 49ers want one of their own before the complete takeover?

Just 2 wins could be enough, but if Burnley win just 1 of those 2 games in hand then Leeds are looking at 3 wins, after losing 6 on the bounce! Will we be hailing the miracle that is Jessey Marsch or will we be weeping at defeat and an embarrassing relegation into the second tier. I don't think Radz could afford the Premier League and doing things on the cheap just didn't work out.

These are intelligent managers (MB & JM) who for some reason play a RB at CB (Luke wasn't a CB in the championship and sure isn't now), Our best CB, Koch, as a holding midfielder (Forshaw is the only one I can think of and should be adequate there but the last few games he has been all over the place contributing nowt positive). Struijk has been having mares for a while (Not enough pace, always not quite there to block, losing his man etc) when Cresswell sits and watches. Firpo - Good God, haven't we got someone, anyone who can actually play LB? Did he get injured on the Right Wing? Summerville - No wonder he's peed off when JH who can't get past a defender plays instead. James, not a striker, never will be. Fast as Michael Owen and small but that's where the similarities end.

We were going down like a lead balloon under Bielsa, it's delusional to think otherwise. I really don't get all the romance with Bielsa, he turned us into a laughing stock this season. Conceding almost 60 goals in 25 games, there isn't anything genius about that, just pure ineptitude. As for Marsch, he's clearly been an underwhelming appointment, I'd agree to that.

But Radz should get the next plane to Argentina, sack John Wayne and beg Bert to return, it's the only way if there aren't 3 worse than us that we will survive.

And i actually think Bert loved what he was doing here so much and Leeds itself, that he 100% would, so has not to see all his hard work go down the drain.

You aren't a bad team bringing in anyone after marcelo was going to be difficult.

Marcelo had 2 more years left in him as manager of Leeds, from there the transition should of been him moving in as Director of Football.

With him having say on next appointment.

I believe at worst you would of got a point against Villa as you managed a draw away from home under marcelo, it seemed like jesse was like a dear caught in the headlights tonight.

Move on to Sunday hopefully 3 points.

This what I’m also struggling with.

I was hoping/expecting Marsch would change the stupid selection of Ayling at CB. Not only is he not a good fit there, we miss his forward play with Raphinha which we have relied on for most of our attacking play.

The total bafflement of playing James as a 9 continues. Did Marsch not watch our games prior to taking the reigns?

Has the manager the balls to drop Harrison and give Summerville a chance ? I doubt it even given the admittedly small time with the new manager.

If last night’s starting line up is the best the manager thinks we have, we are bang in trouble.

If only there was some way of comparing, like looking at a match between Villa and us just last month at their ground and seeing was it as dispiriting and underwhelming as last night.

He's gone, some were delighted to see him go, some weren't.
