It's Abramovich who is sanctioned, not the club. His assets are frozen, but it's not like they've been erased, Stamford Bridge reduced to rubble, the players cease to exist etc.

That would make a good film ........how I would replay the destruction of Stamford Bridge time and time again . It would be nice for Lampard and Terry seen to be standing in front of diggers trying to stop the destruction , and those two been run over by the diggers. Yes , I would certainly watch that film

Jesus, we all acknowledged, even the chelsea fans, that their was corruption involved, but, why did the PL / FA agree to it !!!!
We had to jump through hoops under Cellino alone with the fit & proper, due dilligence etc, it just smacks of corruption at a grand scale, even the UK government allowed so many russians in the country to add £££billions to our economy, including Abramovich, if it wasn't for the war this would still be going on.

Watched athe good documentary on the beeb revealing 4 years worth of financial investigations. Abramovich confirmed in an English court that his money came from corrupt deals. He was being sued by a co-conspirator who was complaining abramovich didn’t pay him his end in a 13 BILLION dollar sale of his petrochemical company - back to the Russian govt who he bought the company from for 10 MILLION a few years earlier.

The 13billion was Russian tax payer money. An (unconfirmable ) statement is that abramovich is part of Putins personal wealth management team.

Yes all true, if it wasn't LUFC I would say differently, but we always seem to end up with the shitty end of the stick, one would think we would have lawyers to pick holes in these blatant wrongdoings.
Whats happened here with chelsea and abramovich is highly embarrassing for the UK as a whole imo.
