They bring on a DM type of player ie Koch in this case and take off a creative player like Rodrigo and make it tighter.
I don’t always like it but in theory it’s what they do 95% of the time unless you have a top six type of squad.

Tbf I'd have done the same tbh. We've struggled all season to get to 2-0, so you try to see it out at 1-0. Thankfully the tactical genius sub of Gelhardt managed to work.
