Challenge away.

Ridsdale was better then GFH, Bates and Cellino in my opinion.

Radz pocketing the dosh or giving it to Orta , imo giving it to Orta is a complete waste as the bloke hasn't a clue what he is doing, he is totally out of his depth , clueless .......numpty. First thing Radz should do is get a director of football in with an actual clue , knows what they are doing and can get something done. Let Orta go to Barca , one way you could be sure they then wouldn't get Raph......I am to be honest pretty resigned to Raph and Phillips going , get decent money and have someone ( that isn't Orta ) spend it wisely and decently in positions requiring upgrading . While Orta is at the club , the club will not progress imo .

There are many decent people in prison, whether they're a victim of circumstance, or made a really poor judgement call.

My father was a top criminal/litigation solicitor for 40 years. He told me that there are not as many 'evil' people in prison as you would think.

I know I would be in the minority here, but I lay as much blame on DOL as I do Ridsdale.

Oh DoL as much to blame, it's why he won't get in my top Leeds managers. Both were culpable in setting back Leeds almost 20 years. Rads has very little wrong which is quite remarkable for a rookie when he arrived. The signing of Christiansen and the sacking of Bielsa are the big two for me. But both are defendable

To be honest with you mate, I've often wondered what would have happened at Leeds if we hadn't have sacked him.

Would we have fallen apart as we did under Terry Venables in that terrible 2002/03 season. And as quickly as we did.

Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

Bates was the worst by far, a proper shyster who asset stripped the club for years. Though the fans who supported him for years weren't much better. I recall the narrative around him being a 'shrewd businessman' or 'we don't want to do another Risdale'. All too easily mugged off.

How was he even allowed anywhere near our club is embarrassing.
He said in the 80's " I will do everything in my powers to get the Leeds scum kicked out of the league" then we allow him to own us !!
Shocking how that could happen, a crook of the highest calibre.

At the end of GFH’s tenure we were close to going under and things were looking bleak. Didn’t their”management fees” cost us a transfer embargo because it took us over the allowed debt? City’s Arabs are the Ferrari of the money world and investment. Our Arabs were an Austin Maxi.

Radrizanni has his faults but compared what’s come before he is a saint.

May i suggest that it was because of Ridsdale that we ended up with GFH, Bates and Cellino in the first place....and 16yrs in the wilderness.

Hey Changnoy, and welcome to the forum.

EVERY decision Ridsdale made, was approved and backed by the board (before they threw him under the bus).

O'Leary more than played his part in Leeds downfall., and before he was fired, a large number of players approached the Chairman to say they could no longer work under O'Leary.

When about the (alleged) bung / close association DOL had with infamous agent, Rune Hauge!

DOL (allegedly) signed paperwork on behalf of the club gifting Olivier Court representation after Decourt had already agreed terms with Leeds. The same thing happened with an interpreter, shelling out several hundreds of thousands, even though Decourt could speak perfect English. Once documentation was signed, it was impossible for LUFC not to honour it.

Anyone puzzled that O'Learys Managerial career was cut very short?

Ridsdale made mistakes, lots of them, but at least he owned up to them.
