Still living off last season I see? By summer time it will be 2 seasons ago. It's time to look forward and stop living in the past!
He got the awards last May. Not only is that not 2 seasons ago, it's not even 1 full season ago!
Let's not try and condense time in our determination to write off entire careers!

Buys - That Haaland bloke and someone like KDB, a VVD and a ATA wouldn't go amiss...to compliment the others.
We failed to sign Haaland when we had the chance in 2018 before he was worth a zillion quid.
Another Orta mess - yet we did finally get our man James for a very reasonable 25m.

My point was he had a new contract, so why does he need another one? We're always hearing how skint we are, so maybe stop raising the wage bill unnecessarily?
Gotcha, he still has a role at Leeds, his current deal runs out in 2024.
A one year extension is probably is probably the best he can hope for in the summer.
On a wider note, players need stability so they can plan ahead. Especially the family men.
Marsch OUT
Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Thought this was April fools but its not.
Tottenham are interested in Jack Harrison after he was recommended for some inexplicable reason by the Legendary Andrea Pirlo to Spurs DOF and close friend of Pirlo Fabio Paratici.
Ask for £30mil with English player tax and snap there hand off if they get close.
Absolutely delighted if we can get something like that for Harrison who whilst you can never fault his commitment he has benefited more than most for the attacking style helping to pad his stats.
In a less attacking team he'd struggle to get a few goals and assists a season.
Tremendously frustrating player who had the occasional great game but is usually dreadful with no in-between.
And quite simply Jesse Marsch doesn't use wingers in the traditional sense, very narrow style.
Find it laughable that some on here, whose opinions are every bit as valid as mine, think Stuart Dallas should be moved on. Player of the year last season, versatile and rarely injured. Whilst he might not be top drawer, he is a solid Prem player and, at the very least, should remain part of our set up until his contract ends in '24. For me, that's the point where we talk about a possible extension, depending on form, where we are etc. This rush to push him out the door is premature, and the fact remains that we haven't got pots of money to spend replacing these 'has-beens'.

I would keep Stuart Dallas over many, he's a terrific servant to LUFC, still a few years left in him and can lake in many positions, the modern day Paul Madeley, when his time is up I would like him in a coaching role of some capacity, we missed a trick with Pablo, lets not do it again.
Stuart Dallas is a very important player for us, and a great ambassador for the club.

I didn't say he should be sold. I should why should he get a new contract when he got one last season?

Stuart will still be at Leeds next season Nick, he is valued very highly at the club & the majority of our fan base.

Never said you did, mate, but there are a few on here suggesting he should be moved on, which I think is madness. I agree he doesn't need to be offered a contract extension with 2 years remaining on his current one.

I should hope so, Leon. After a bang average start. he's been brilliant for us.

Imo dallas is to us what milner is to pool. In the current squad hes invaluable.
Would love to see someone like Tarkowski in if burbley go down as too little leadership at the back when cooper isnt there.
Lot of talk about a few notts forrest players for a while now..and the hudd lad, but so long as tgeyre in the race for promotion i cant see any happening.
Am i wrong in thinking without Bielsa we lost a lot od pulling power?

Probably a bit of both. You might get some work shy players scared off by the work ethic under Bielsa , but a lot I would imagine would have loved to have worked under him and be improved as players . He would certainly be a bigger draw than Jesse Marche right now and that's not putting down Jesse , it's just how it is in the stature of the two .
Probably won't happen, but being linked with Brazilian wonderkid Matheus Martins, along with Ajax and Benfica. These are the kind of signings we should be looking at, like with Gvardiol as well even though we didn't get him, rather than rejects from the top 6.
Hopefully we'll have a fun this summer, players may want to come to ER when they realise they can play golf in the afternoons & spend more time with their families.
