What an absolutely disgustingly snide attack on our former manager. I'd rather we attratced players who wanted to work with a manager that would make them far better players than any player who would want to come just to take it easy.

I would also suggest you google what Bradley Wright Phillips said about Marsch's training being the most intense he'd experienced.

Not a snide remark, two unnamed wives of our current squad have commented they are happy as they'll see more of their husbands.

Also hearing Kalvin wants to stay at ER & Raphinha is happy at Leeds, contrary to what the media are reporting.

Need to have a word with his agent then.

Also if they are happy why no new deals?

I have been mugging up on what Marschs 4-2-2-2 / 4 -2-3-1 consists of and from everything I have read the two constants seem to be that the DFMs need to be specialists and that the wingbacks will be exposed time and again but that is ok as long as their forward play is sufficient.

So that being the case keeping Kalvin takes on even more significance.
Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

Perhaps they are waiting to see how they fit with the new managers setup and what the prospects are of strengthening the side?

I'm sure those unnamed wives would be delighted to see more of their husbands in the expensives homes their husbands were able to afford after getting new contracts as premier league players.

Let Kalvin go, there's every chance he'll be nothing now his master has left - and let the yank spend the dough.
Raph too, let him be gone, he's too good for us and will start to sulk when the teams not performing to his liking.
Klich too - be gone if we can get 2/3m for you, too old.
Cooper also, be gone if you're gonna have to defend, how much for Coops?
Patrick also, how much? fix him up like you're selling an old car before it breaks down again, 30m ? (chuckles to self)

That's just a few for starters...who we gonna keep ? Meslier ? Depends how much we'd get coz he's not that great, snatch their hands off if it's above 15m....Keep Firpo, Dallas, Ayling, Harrison, Koch, llorente, Rodrigo, Forshaw ?

Have a firesale or what, then start afresh?.....keep the youth? get them into Jessball?

kinhell, i'm getting excited writing this!.....HERE COMES THE SUMMER!!

I would assume Radz & co are negotiating deals which may not be revealed until the end of the season or into the summer months.

Until we know for certain what league we are playing in next season, it's quite obvious we won't be confirming any deals yet.

How big a squad are we aiming for ? 75? Includes all reserve team members and under 10's?

Realistically, wotcha fink? 25 ? 30?

How many keepers ? 9 ?...Didn't it take the clown 8/9 attempts before 1. Kiko, 2. Felix, 3. Caprile, 4. Fill in the blanks......

In fairness its highly unlikely those wives had to live in hovels with hubby beforehand.

Most Championship players are millionaires also 8-)

Certainly could do with a back-up keeper, eventually my wish is to see every position with a decent replacement & not just a filler. If we bring in four first team players, hopefully those who are replaced are retained as subs.

I think we should spend spend spend 64, let the clown loose, don't bother working on players to bring the best out of them, buy a huge squad some of em are bound to fit in somewhere, it's a toughie - new man working on internationals like Koch and Llorente - get into their brain drill in the system he wants and the worlds your oyster really, Firpo worked on could be a revelation down the left flank, i'm loving his speed and eagerness to get forward into attack, there's load to go at, the potential is there.

How many players are there in Man City's first team squad? Have a think about it. Megabucks Man City, 2 players for each position, probably more. Nope 22 in total and that includes having 3 keepers and Cole Palmer (their equivalent of Joe Gelhardt for us. So they don't even have 2 players for each position as they have 3 keepers and their squad is bulked up by a youth player who has played a total of 121 minutes in the league. Their 22 man squad also contains Bernard Mendy who I think is currently banned due to his rape case (or if not banned has certainly not been selected.

Except that the issue of decent v filler is a matter of opinion.

We'll be as fit as we were under Christiansen for whom training also seemed to be optional.

You can have a 25 man squad

Ours this season

1 - Meslier
2 - Klaesson
3 - Ayling
4 - Dallas
5 - Shackleton
6 - Cooper
7 - Firpo
8 - Llorente
9 - Koch
10 - Struijk
12 - Hjelde
13 - Cresswell
14 - Phillips
15 - Klich
16 - Forshaw
17 - Roberts
18 - Rodrigo
19 - Raphinha
20 - James
21 - Harrison
22 - Bamford
23 - Gelhardt
24 - Summerville
25 - Greenwood

Hardly short on depth unless you're a Gelhardt/Greenwood/Cresswell/Hjelde/Summerville hater

We've got away with murder this season with having Meslier and Klaesson as our two gks. Meslier has took a right peppering due to our vacant midfield and atrocious defending. Thankfully he's stayed fit, but he's also not blameless for some of our defensive lapses. That JWP free kick was good, but he was poorly positioned and should have saved it.

Basic errors in positioning, ball distribution, etc, have cost us plenty of goals, so I feel like we could do with a senior pro, not Kiko, to give Meslier and Klaesson some guidance and pass on their expertise.

Of course, everything is about one's opinion, Harry.

One of the reasons we've won only eight games this season is because we are vulnerable when injuries occur.

Other teams use seasoned internationals or experienced PL players when making substitutions.

Also, we've often had to use our subs in the first half & in some cases all three subs by half-time, whilst the opposition are using their subs late in the game when fresh lags were required.

Manure : Matic/Sancho/Martial - Firpo/Costa/Roberts
Everton : Townsend/Delph - Shackleton/Roberts
Leicester : Maddison - Roberts
Man City : Ake/Fernandinho/Gundogan - Klich/Drameh/Gelhardt
Chelsea : Christensen/Lukaku/Hudson Odoi - Klich/Gelhardt/Cresswell
Arsenal : Smith-Rowe/Soares/Tavares - Summerville/Greenwood/McCarron
Liverpool : Henderson/Milner - Roberts/Shackleton
Villa : Chambers/Young - Forshaw
Everton : El Ghazi/Alli - Hjelde/Roberts
Leicester : Lookman/Iheanacho - Gelhardt/Roberts

When we remarkably equalised a two goal deficit v Scum, they counteracted with three subs Fred & Ellanga (scorers of their winning goals) plus Varane when we had nothing more to offer.

Also because of our small squad/injuries the likes of our admiral stalwarts Stuart Dallas & Luke Ayling rarely get a rest
