I don't think money has necessarily been a problem, we threw £25M at Mr No-end-product and were prepared to throw £20M at Aaronson back in January.

It's all a comedy of errors from Radz, Orta and Kinnear getting complacent, not having the balls to overrule Bielsa and so on and so on.

IF (and that is the biggest IF in the world) we do somehow stay up it will have been a good gamble (a far too risky gamble though), but they had better be prepared to keep their word and carry out their revamp of the squad, they have a lot of work to do in the summer and they had better not be waiting until the transfer windows to begin.

He did do well gotbusbpromoted then spend the 100m in our first season. And due to lockdown and a combination of first year back we over performed. But then he gambled big time to not adding to the squad either during the summer or January thought bielsa could work another year of miracles backfired on him.you cannot stay still in the Premier league and expect to survive. Money was needed for around 3 quality players 2 in midfield and most certainly a decent striker was a must.

He might have been confident that his asset was on the up. But I think this season will have given him a fright as to how quickly the asset can diminish in value.

I think to be honest AR was very canny this season in terms of minimising his risk. He sold more of his shares to the 49ers so that even if we go down he has probably already got more back than he paid for the club and is still the majority shareholder.
