We needed at least a point tonight, and a performance- a statement of intent at least. We got nothing, on any front.
We’re not staying up with this team wobbling like it is now.

Nope
Marsch OUT
Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Course we can.
At the moment it's possible that a point will be enough.

Re: Anyone thinks we can still stay up?
We can theoretically but if Burnley beat Spurs and they could then we won't.
And it also relies on us beating teams with a decimated and and knackered squad who we barely ever beat.

If we passed to our own team mates as well as we do to the opposition we'd have a chance of staying up ,unfortunately we don't so it'll be championship football next season

No. We can’t score.
Only chance if we have two 0-0’s and Burnley lose theirs

Yes Tyzy and you'd better be worried about relegation from the Championship next year as well unless this big Jesse goes along with about 8 players, although a decent coach might get them playing together as a UNIT, but they'll need to be able to run oppo's off the park,

The key match es were always the last two. Anything more was a bonus.
But theyre both in good form and bad time to play em.
Id be confident with an attacking threat but after harrison and raphinha hobbled off tonight and james went for an early bath ... I cant see who is going to score for us!

Revolutionary idea but we have two young strikers who have played very well together this season.Siqu wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 2:05 am The key match es were always the last two. Anything more was a bonus.

Re: Anyone thinks we can still stay up?
You mean Sam & Joe? I’m on board. He can’t peddle out the same old line up so why not. Not many players left. But if we stick to the early red tactic who comes off after 10 minutes. Sam or Joe? Or both?

Both for me they understand each others games and as you said not many players left.

Works for me. Trust in youth, they are the future.

Re: Anyone thinks we can still stay up?
In a word, no. This squad is shot and, whilst it's unfair to lay the blame at Marsch's door, he does not seem capable of setting up a team to be both solid defensively and pose some sort of attacking threat. Heads are down all over the pitch (those still on it), and has all the hallmarks of 2004. This will be my fourth relegation as a Leeds fan, and possibly the most disappointing as we had the opportunity to build on last season and didn't. If you stand still in this league, you go backwards. Couple that will the physical demands Bielsaball places on players and a horrendous run of injuries, and you have a perfect storm. I'll be back for more come August wherever we are, but there needs to be a serious reboot of the squad over the summer. A lot will depend on what Radz and co do, but the one glimmer of light is that the young players blooded in the first team squad this season (Joffy, Greenwood, Cresswell, Hjelde, Struijk, Bate etc) should be good enough to be competitive (and maybe more) in the Championship. But hey, isn't it the hope that kills you? MOT

Not now, we're down.
Our weakened squad won't cope with the likes of Trossard, Lamptey, Bissouma, Caicedo, Mac Allister, even Danny Welbeck will have a field day against us on Sunday.
Pontus will have a say in our final fiasco of this season.
