Right let's try and pick this team, who's available ? I'm not sure so i'll try.

Les Mes.

Shack - Llorente - Koch - Firpo
...................Phillips
Raphinha - Klich - Harrison
...........Rodrigo - Joffy

Would that work or too attacking ? I don't know if Cooper's fit, jeez i think it would get battered.

I'm actually scared atm of them being in training as we speak and Jesse's going thru some plan, coz they will just not be able to comprehend it or put it into action and it will backfire from the whistle.

Oh gawd i'm frightened to death.

Crucial we don’t concede first failing that Just not in the first 10 minutes. Jesse says the players are over motivated leading to errors so put the quotes away and let the occasion speak for itself. James been out doesn't really make much difference if we have Harrison and Raph available, get JG in upfront, whisper it but maybe even Bamford will put in a cameo. And for the love of god let Philips play on his own, we don’t need two holding midfielders.

Raph Fit
Harrsion Ok
Bamford leaving it up to the player
The owners came to see the players yesterday

All good
Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

"Too many players hiding"

"Play Raphinha in his correct position"

"Give the players a license to express themselves rather than shackle them with the new system"

"Players have down tools is unacceptable"

"Leeds fans could turn if we are getting hammered 0-3, no singing 'We are the champions, champions of Europe' if we are defeated"

He mentions all of the Brighton's dangerous players I mentioned on another thread earlier, MacAllister, Maupey, Trossard, Bisomma,

"Curcurella is a fantastic left back, that is proper recruitment"

"Huge, huge weekend for LUFC, one could see us relegated & that is a sad state of affairs for Leeds United"

"Tough ask for Leeds"

I think calling it a system is flattering to be honest.... I think he plays the game the night before on the playstation and if it works there it must work in real life ..right?

We'd take the 6'4 265 lb edge. Would probably end up getting sent off

Hi ye all ,if I can ask one very relevant ??,
Do Leeds United at this juncture possess the so called big players..., Character, ability, ecetera to mount an almost lost cause ?
I know the answer I suppose ..but that's only my logic! Yes but what do I know.
I'm asking the Real Loyal ,dedicated and mighty faithfull followers of Leeds United what say they.. ? 1964 I'm really wanting your opinion mate only as I'm asking ,yes there are many, many others I understand but answers appreciated. This is hard for me to even articulate and my thoughts and aspirations are with all of you and this Fantastic club ..MOT.

Welcome back, Paddy, hope you are well.

Kalvin is a big player for us, but right now he is still feeling his way back into the team after a long term injury, also he is probably playing in the weakest midfield since our revival under Bielsa.

We've missed Bamford terribly.

Cooper lacks the ability of a top class CB, but his leadership skills have been a huge miss.

Our Brazilian star Raphinha is one of the best players I've seen at ER in the last 25/30 years but, he seems to have lost his way due to a lack of top class players around him with frustration often affecting his skilful play.

Ok let's have a go at this tactics stuff. I really think you have to go for 3 points in this match. So I'm setting up to go for the win by putting players most likely to score goals in a position to do so. It is absolutely imperative that Raphinha and Harrison get wide and find some space. So it's a 4-3-3.

Meslier
Koch Lloriente Cooper Struijk
Phillips
Shackleton Bate
Raphinha Rodrigo Harrison

The back line looks like it's held together with duct tape and baling wire. So I put Kalvin Phillips in the ONLY position he seems to be any good at. And that's protecting the back line. And I challenge his damn manhood to not just go through the motions. And play like a f**king England International. In front of him I played the two kids. Shackleton and Bate. The midfield has been nonexistent so give the boys a chance.

I'm picking Rodrigo over Joffe based on production and overall form under JM. Joffe might be my first sub...

Oh my good lord, i hope you're not part of his backroom staff Paul, if you happen to be, please don't let him go with that.

In all due respect, no wonder we're fcked.

Normal JM tactics will get us nowhere.
Potter is no mug and has proved to have the measure of us.

I have resigned myself to relegation but let's not go down with a whimper.
No negative tactics or formation please.
Play with 2 wide men and Joffy up top and let's have a real go at them.
Give our magnificent fans something to cheer for in what will probably be our last home game in the Prem for a long time.

The championship seems to have gone downhill since we left it. Luton and Huddersfield in the playoffs says it all, sheff united were 19th at Christmas and got in playoffs, boro only just missed out and had very inconsistent season - Fulham who were a woeful side in the prem won it fairly easily. Whilst I share your pessimism and wouldn’t be surprised with a slow start I think we will be straight back up.

What ever we think of radz and 49ers they won’t want to risk getting mired in the champ for long, best way back up is first season down they will know that.
