Huh...
What the...
How...
For me the most shocking news is that Minamino is valued at £18 million! How did that happen? They bought him for £7.5 million, it hasn't gone well, so in the normal world his value goes down from there.

And yet he played the full game for Spain at the weekend. He must have something just to get in their squad.Cjay wrote: ↑Mon Jun 06, 2022 9:55 pm He isn't popular with Spain fans at all from looking at twitter.
They don't rate him at all.
And he had the worst aerial success rate of any Premier league cb last season.
Think how many cbs that is and how hard it must be to be the worst.
He wasn't particularly rated by his previous clubs fans either who were delighted to get £18mil for him.
I don't think he is without talent but the more I see of him I think we definitely overpaid (as usual) and signed a cb who probably suits a slower and less physical league.
In England he is shown up for his physical weaknesses and slow speed of thought.
Decent technically but is that enough?

Was a late call up to replace the injured Aymeric Laporte.
Spain aren't full of talented cbs anymore (hence why 36 year old Raul Albiol still gets called up from time to time and the truly awful Oscar Mingueza has caps).
Laporte, Pau Torres, Eric Garcia and Inigo Martinez are the 4 quality cbs.
Outside of that not much hence why Llorente gets caps.
Most Spain fans would rather see crocked 35 year old Sergio Ramos back in or 35 year old Pique come put of retirement (which he may).
He has some talent Llorente but he wouldn't have got near the Spain squad for the previous decades.

All i know is we need to get players in for this new guy asap - coz last years are not gonna cut it on the evidence seen up to now.
And i've no idea what we're gonna start with formation wise.
