Re: Kalvin Phillips.- Minto/Cascarino/Talksport discuss KP's move
I'm a bit peeved off that KP is still on holiday as that is holding a lot of things up, most notably new signings. And with the club going to Oz in a week and half, it would be bloody nice to have new players in the door so they can join the tour and get accustomed to the style and their new teammates.

Re: Kalvin Phillips.- Minto/Cascarino/Talksport discuss KP's move
Reports coming out that Kalvin Phillips will complete his medical for Manchester City on Friday (given his injury record that isn't a foregone conclusion).
I hope this is done by Friday though.
We need to move forward.

nothing to stop us agreeing fees with other players and progressing things there since the KP thing is pretty much a done dealLumiukko wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 10:13 pm I'm a bit peeved off that KP is still on holiday as that is holding a lot of things up, most notably new signings. Re: Kalvin Phillips.- Minto/Cascarino/Talksport discuss KP's move
Sky Sports confirm Kalvin will have his medical tomorrow.
They also confirm the rumours that Kalvin insisted the only club he would join is Manchester City and rejected other clubs.
I really don't like this sorry
Out of perceived loyalty to the club he has allowed Man City to dictate terms to us.
I fully believe we have been offered more money than City did but KP wouldn't take it.
Don't like this at all.

Good riddance to him, he won't be going to Oz, hopefully he passes his medical then breaks down badly in pre-season, f**king w**ker.

Totally agree, let's hope he turns up and puts in a performance for his medical. All the hype has gone to his head and well overrated.mentalcase wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 4:04 pm Good riddance to him, he won't be going to Oz, hopefully he passes his medical then breaks down badly in pre-season, f**king w**ker.

Re: Kalvin Phillips.- Medical tomorrow (Friday 1st July)
I'm shocked at the agreed fee and thought KP could be prized away from LUFC for around 70M. The citizens will be laughing at the price tag and at LUFC should Kalvin hit the ground running both domestically and in the CL. A friendly Man Utd fan remarked that Man C would rather have Kalvin warming their subs bench than have him in the oppositions ranks.
I've got this sickly feeling that if Raphinha is also sold that'll be 2 huge positions in D midfield and attack that are going to have to be filled at the first time of asking. This sickly feeling tells me that if LUFC get it wrong it could be very costly, but then what do my guts know about running an English Premier League first team?

Nope nor do I, Kalvin sticks the boot in before he left... I'd much rather have gotten 55/60M from Manure or PSG say... Once gone it matters not to me who its for.Cjay wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 3:56 pm Sky Sports confirm Kalvin will have his medical tomorrow.

If there was more money on the table then he's taken a wage cut himself to join Citeh. Its the nearest big club which means he won't have to move house if he doesn't want, who wouldn't want to play under Pep with a chance of winning every trophy on offer? He could have moved to PSG on shed loads of money and been miserable. I said before in the grand scheme of things what's a extra £10/15m in football these days we normally only spend it on mediocre anyway. Raph was a miracle.

Be funny if his medical uncovered that dodgy shoulder of his.
He wouldn't be able to lift all those medals ....
He was still wearing strapping during the Brentford game.

In which case he is sticking by his principles of being a Leeds fan.

I would agree. From the sounds MU were interested and we don't know if other clubs were. From KP's point of view it makes great sense to go to City. He will have a manager that will play him in a position suited to him, he is almost guaranteed trophies and he is still near enought to Leeds to be able to see his family regularly (and we all know he is quite a family orientated man) even if he does move. I don't blame him one bit for wanting to go to City over any other club.

Kp and Raph's best position mean nothing to the dick formation.

I have absolutely no idea which players we currently have that can play dick.
Apparently 2 of our new signings are familiar with it.
That leaves about 22 trying to adapt to it.
Roll the dice baby.

I suspect the Blackpool friendly will be for the U23's in the main, with the match being played at York's LNER Stadium.
