Colombian fan here. Sinisterra is a great bit of business for Leeds and very excited to see how he adapts to the Prem and Marsch's coaching especially.Lumiukko wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 5:14 pm This is the exciting transfer of the summer for us. Reading through the responses to Fabrizio's tweet early this morning and many a fan from other clubs say that this is an excellent signing and shows intent from us when placed alongside the rest of the business. I know I shouldn't get excited and fall in the trap to only end up with major disappointment, but I am actually starting to like the look of our transfer business.
Sini has pace but most wingers in the pl do. What I think distinguish him as a prospect are his control and decision making - you will notice on his tape that he possesses great feet and is able to attack one on one effectively in tight spaces, the nice thing with him though is that he has good instincts, brings others into the game very well and is rarely wasteful.
He'd been one of Colombia's great hopes at U20 level and suffered a tough injury at Feyenoord that kept him off the field for almost a year. At that age, with a young kid abroad you worry about them blowing their shot. But he came back stronger and especially in the mental aspect just became so much more efficient. Even this vacation, he's been training separately in Spain before Feyenoord's camp was to start because he is committed to keep getting better.
Along with the maturity he seemed to find during his recovery, Slot coming in as coach at Feyenoord and shifting to a pressing style really unlocked his game and let him get involved both marking high and as an early possession outlet - those should translate with Marsch too.
Excited for Leeds fans - with him (and Brenden) on the wings you have too genuine high character wingers who are going to put in shifts every weekend and work all week to get better. It's a great fit.

Re: Luís Sinisterra - Rumour
I like South American players. And Columbian players in particular seem to adapt well in new environments. This lad looks promising although I always take the goals and assists with a grain of salt coming from the Dutch league. I've seen him play a couple of times for Feyenoord. And I like his skillset. I'm just wondering how we will fit all of these left sided midfield players into the puzzle.

I’m excited to have him on the club (assuming it all works out).

I have high hopes - although that's not unusual for me. From the looks of the clips I've seen, he could definitely be as good as RaphinhaMarschingAlong wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 9:03 pm Colombian fan here. A very well thought out knowledgeable post. Thanks for your insight which really complements his YouTube Feyenoord highlights video.MarschingAlong wrote: ↑Wed Jul 06, 2022 9:03 pm Colombian fan here. Rapha's is a bit classier as he mutmegs on a back heel but the lad looks like a cracking apprentice to Rapha's creative role.

I just hope we have good control on our financial position, starting to feel a bit uncomfortable with all the signings. Lol the fans will never by happy.

Let's be honest it'll be "Oh Sinisterra" Seven Nation Army or something to the tune of Sloop John B, like all football chants these days.

If he's left sided, then great. I've never been the biggest fan of Harrison - far too may lacklustre, inconsistent performances for my liking.
I know he scores goals, but I have been thinking for several seasons now that we could upgrade on him. Anyway, now he will have to fight for the shirt. Harrison must have started just about every game on that left wing for the last 4 seasons regardless of form because there was no competition.

I'd be now doing everything I could to persuade Raph to stay ... f**k the finances, everyone else gets away with it... Maybe sell Jack instead, love him but he's gonna be sat behind Sinisterra one would hope all season
