1 - Meslier - 7.5 - A couple of good saves but Wolves didn't really test. Put Struijk into trouble second half.

25 - Kristensen - 8.5 - A real menace going forward, gets turned a little too easily, cost us the goal though the shot was a fluke but more than made up for it with a goal saving challenge.

21 - Struijk - 7.5 - Good defensively, lacked ideas offensively

12 - Adams - 7.5 - Faded but probably run more than anyone today. Box to box and wing to wing

5 - Koch - 8 - A rock at the back

14 - Llorente - 7.5 - One very good tackle, one lovely nearly pass into the box added to a couple of missed tackles and a bit of poor positioning. Good game

19 - Rodrigo - 8.5 - Subbed - Very good game, got the goal, and some interesting passes into the box. The game ran through him first half, quieter second

8 - Roca - 7.5 - Subbed - Good solid game from Marc, got his foot in well and sprayed some nice passes around

9 - Bamford (c) - 8 - Subbed - Some good, some really bad first touch stuff. Again didn't see him captain much

7 - Aaronson - 10 - Subbed - Outstanding, quieter second but the whole team more on the back foot after we were easily the dominant side in the first. Different player to Raph but going to be as influential. Hope he gets his goal and key contribution for our equalizer

11 - Harrison - 7.5 - One cracking cross across the face, constant harrying but also some poor passing, gets his first assist of the season

Subs on

Klich - 8.5 - Came on with Wolves on top and re-established our dominance. Key for the second, could have had a couple of assists
Greenwood 6.5 - Started well, didn't mind he missed the FK, he is a specialist with not a lot of practice last year or so, let him find his range. The was a wasted cross though which counted against him
Summerville - 7 - Worked hard down the right late
Gelhardt - 6.5 - Did more in defence but not really much time. If he starts for me we may win that a little easier

Good start to the season Wolves will consider themselves a top half team, wasn't worried when we went a goal down and to come from behind to win not only tells us a lot but also gives the players confidence they can do that again. We lost that a bit last season

Jesse Marsch's best game as manager by a distance for me... he get's an 8.

Illan Meslier 7: As usual he kept the score down and that save just before half-time was just has important has the OG
Rasmus Kristensen 6: Cracking last ditch tackle in the box to save a cert. Still work in progress defensively.
Diego Llorente 6: Got opened up a few times first half, one great dribble forward second half. Solid from 65mins onwards.
Robin Koch 6: see above
Pascal Struijk 6: Did ok but we need more cover.,
Marc Roca 7: Solid enough played the ball forward quickly and most of the time accurately.
Tyler Adams 7: Keeps thing simple. Looks a good balance with Roca. They will have tougher afternoons.
Jack Harrison 7: Glimpses of dribbling class, a few good crosses, i thought he got better has the game went on.
Rodrigo 7: Bit nervous to start but i thought he played well enough gets a extra point for his goal. A bit unlucky to be subbed.
Aaronson 6: Buzzed around more effective first half. His presence caused the OG.
Patrick Bamford 5: Nothing really went for Paddy in front of goal today should have scored the header nice ball across for the OG. Still great to see him leading the line again.

Subs
Mateusz Klich 6: Great cameo from Klich. Its his best position dictating things on the edge of the box and making intelligent runs into the box.
Sam Greenwood 5: Wasted a couple of good opportunities. Good for him to get more minutes.
Joe Gelhardt
Crysencio Summerville.

Illan Meslier 8 - Didn't put a foot wrong. 3 good saves. No nonsense (2nd touches) on the clearances.

Rasmus Kristensen 7 - Excellent strong tackle in the box. Had an OK game but was to blame for the goal.

Diego Llorente 8 - Blamed him for the goal too. But otherwise he was excellent. Stood strong when Wolves had momentum had threw in a few good passes

Robin Koch 8 - Very quiet and nothing much to talk about. I'd call that a good game

Pascal Struijk 7 - Was really good defensively. Too good of a defender for LB. It costs him a little going forward although he did everything capably

Marc Roca 7 - Mostly a quiet game, Some good tackles and a couple of long passes. But just a touch behind the pace. He's definitely got a lot more to offer from what we saw pre-season.

Tyler Adams 8 - Very dynamic and busy in midfield. Lots of energy, making many good interceptions and moving defence to attack quickly

Jack Harrison 7 - Very disappointing 1st half. Needs to show he's worth 30-40 million. Grew into the game better 2nd half without really standing out

Rodrigo 7 - Good busy game. Was effective in the press and transitioning to attack. Not much in front of goal

Brenden Aaronson 9 - Fantastic performance. His press started the 1st goal and all but scored the 2nd. Very good in the press and really quick to move things forward. He looks a top class player - maybe as good as Pulisic

Patrick Bamford 7 - Still not quite at the pace but played well. Credit for a killer assist on the 2nd goal

Subs
Mateusz Klich 8 - Very effective cameo. Intelligent passing changed the game. Great alternative to the 2nd striker

Sam Greenwood 7 - Really looked the part in midfield when he came on.

Joe Gelhardt 6- Not much time, but good energy. One nice defencive clearance

Crysencio Summerville 6 - Like Gelhardt, limited minutes but kept presure on Wolves in final minutes

Not sure we were watching the same game. Aaronson was everywhere. Bamford should have scored, yes, but it was a brilliant save that robbed him, not the quality of his header. His pass to create the winning goal was superb.

Illan Meslier 8: Two brilliant saves (the one before halftime and one on a free header).
Rasmus Kristensen 7: beaten badly for their goal, but a beast afterwards. Very good going forward.
Diego Llorente 7: Held up well under a lot of pressure in the second half
Robin Koch 7: see Llorente
Pascal Struijk 6.5: What would a Leeds game be without a square peg in a round hole? Defensively sound, almost nothing going forward
Marc Roca 7.5: Wolves had almost no success bring the ball forward through the middle
Tyler Adams 7.5: See Roca. We have a couple of players here
Jack Harrison 6.5: A few flashes; great pass for Bamford header that almost scored.
Rodrigo 7.5: Seems much more comfortable in this system. Well-taken goal.
Aaronson 9: MOTM. Steal of the ball set up the first goal, should get full credit for the winner
Patrick Bamford 8: Typical Paddy game; did all the things that don't show up on the scoresheet. Beautiful assist for the winner. Robbed of a goal by a spectacular save.

Subs
Mateusz Klich 8: I groaned when he came on, but he quickly turned me around. Back to his glory days.
Sam Greenwood 6:
Joe Gelhardt 6:
Crysencio Summerville 6.5: Liked what I saw from this kid in his few minutes. Look forward to seeing more of him.

Curious thing to say considering he scored and had another blocked, and I think there was another ... from midfield.

I appreciate i am in the minority John. He started the game well running through midfield. The lad works hard for sure and will be a good asset still not sold on his creativity yet. Second half i thought he was ok and played his part in a good team performance. And that was the thing no player stood out for me it was about the team. My mom was Mes he kept us in it first half again with 2 top saves.... The mood is very different in and out of the stadium if they go in up at half time. If Bamford was confident the keeper gets nowhere near his free header. I thought he still looked rusty personally but lead the line well.

I'm ok with your scoring, it's consistent. You start low I'm guessing. I start fairly high and rank in game not post game as recency bias can apply in the latter

Paddy's first touch was poor today, that was a lovely pass for the winner but it was on the back of an even better one from Klich. Paddy gets the assist while Klich gets nothing...That happens a lot with Klich, deserves the assist stat as he did a lot more last season

Which is why the assist stat is a poor one, tells you absolutely nothing..

Anything lower than an 8 for Aaronson, aka the Medford Messi, is absolute rubbish

Kristensen getting high marks...

The guy was an absolute liability the whole game and was beaten for pace every time he came up against a wolves winger, meaning we had to double up on the right and leaving someone potentially free in the middle.

He is, quite simply, not fast enough to be a full back and we will get horrendously exposed down the right if he continues to play there...

Did make a great last ditch slide tackle though

But awful generally...

Meslier...... 8.......Could do nothing about the goal, but looked composed and made several excellent saves.
Kristensen..... 7.......Was exposed for the Wolves goal, and out of position a few times. Linked well with Aaronson going forward and should have won a penalty. Goal saving tackle in second half.
Llorente..... 6.......Some timely challenges, one great piece of skill passing the ball out, but caught out of position at times.
Koch...... 6.......Like Llorente I am still not confident, does some good things but makes mistakes too often.
Struijk..... 5.......Just does not look confident at LB, gave the ball away cheaply a few times.
Roca...... 6........Started OK but faded in second half, not showing as good as in pre season games.
Adams...... 7.....Worked his socks off, will I think form a good DM partnership with Roca.
Harrison... 7....Usual performance from Jack, quiet periods, and giving the ball away at times, but produced a couple of killer balls and can change a game at any point.
Rodrigo.... 7.....You don't score if you don't shoot, and he is always prepared to have a pot. Got his reward with the goal, but does not do enough during general play for me.
Aaronson..... 9.....Excellent game, full of running and creativity, just tired during the second half, but I like the look of him.
Bamford.... 7.....Gradually getting sharper, nice ball to set up the winner, and only a first class save denied him a goal.

Klich...... 7......Made a big difference when he came on today, helped turn the tide in our favour.
Greenwood.... 6.....Slotted in well and growing as a player. A couple of overhit passes.
Summerville... 6.....Looked tricky buy not enough time to make any impact.
Gelhardt... 6.....Again not enough time to shine.

7 Illan Meslier Made a couple of good saves to keep us in it but must be disappointed to concede the first goal which was a bit soft.
6 Rasmus Kristensen Outmuscled for their goal but after that had a solid game. Should have had a pen.
6 Diego Llorente Made some timely interceptions/tackles but still has a tendency to ball watch a bit too much.
6 Robin Koch Again decent enough without being either good or bad.
5.5 Pascal Struijk Doesn't look comfortable at LB. Gets turned too easily.
6.5 Marc Roca started well but faded later on.
6.5 Tyler Adams Slow start but got better as game went on
6 Jack Harrison Typical Jack, some excellent deliveries into the box but also inconsistent and hesitant at times.
7 Rodrigo Brilliant first half but faded and ineffective before being subbed.
8 Brenden Aaronson MOTM. A real live wire, suits JM style to a tee. Real quality.
7 Patrick Bamford Lovely assist for BA but had chances that could have done better with, Link up play good though

Subs
7.5 Mateusz Klich Made a real difference when we were looking tired. Would love him to stay but will he be happy playing cameo appearances as he hasn't the legs for the 90 mins.
7 Sam Greenwood Brought some passion and tenacity to the middle of the park when we were looking tired.
N/A Joe Gelhardt Not enough minutes to give a fair appraisal
N/A Crysencio Summerville. see Gelhardt.

Fair feedback. Mine was badly worded. He did score the goal. I just think he should be getting more shots on goal from the position he plays. I'm keeping him at a 7. He did have a good game but wasn't as threatening as Aaronson.

Benchmark is a 6 so slightly more means the player did probably just enough to achieve a higher rating. Two more means they were excellent and 3 or more is obviously outstanding.
