Yeah he is broken now and we need a new striker a decent striker even though rodrigoal has been doing well we need a striker like we need a creative midfielder too

There must be something wrong for him to keep breaking down like this. Perhaps he didn't get a full pre-season because of his foot problem taking time to heal. Such a shame as I really enjoyed watching him when he was fit season before last.

Hope its not a recurrence of the stupid goal celebration injury.

Why on earth haven't we bought a decent additional striker after the having PB out for most of last season, I'm not saying get shut of him but we can't rely on him to play all season when we need goals.

Ba,ford has been injury prone since he arrived, has basically missed 2 of his 4 seasons injured.

Its lunacy to rely on him and to use the nonsense about not wanting to block Gelhardt who is unfortunately another one fast becoming injury prone as an excuse is daft.

Radz doesnt really want to have a negative net spend, that is obvious (Orta was bleating on about how they had spent the money they received in an interview the other week), that was clearly always the plan.

For anyone who says De Ketelaera shows it wasnt remember that up until it was clear he wasnt coming the club were very non committal on Harrison's future.

De Ketelaere signs and i bet Harrison went.

They cant risk not siging an attacker and radz has guaranteed Harrison's future so one of the 49ers or Radz is going to need to put there hand into there pocket.

Apologies, it's hot and your post was one of a litany of negative posts and I hate negativity when it come's to Leeds. Can't believe you're writing Paddy off already

Blatantly obvious.

Without a new striker we will undoubtedly struggle again this year.

Rodrigo scored two today? How were the goals and any chance he could fill the void if not or do we keep him where he's playing if he seems to be scoring from there?

First was a pure predator, great run to the near post, flick of his foot and in. Second was a help over the line but great positioning and a striker should always make sure. He also played Paddy in for two shots, flicked a header on for what should have been a sitter for Kristensen and still forced a decent late save from the keeper. Couple of early mis controls the only downside to a top game from him again

Of course this comes from me so there's that too, but as ever it's all factual

Is it time to look to replace Paddy?

Will always be a hero for his 2 excellent seasons but he is increasingly unreliable.

4 seasons here 2 of which spent injured the majority of the time.

Sentiment aside should the club be looking for a replacement not competition?

Sound great! Any thoughts on whether he could/should also play as a striker? I just find it odd that marsch isn't at least giving it a try and bielsa barely did too...the guy was a striker his whole career beforehand unless I missed something? Instead we insist on making do with Dan james, who will always give his best but isn't going to be scoring often

Rodrigo by his own admission was never a striker in the number 9 role.

“The position I feel most comfortable is behind the striker,” Rodrigo told BBC West Yorkshire Sport.

His goalscoring record shows that.

It's what made his signing so odd at the time given we didn't play a number 10 and he can't play as a long striker.

Maybe Marsch suits him more?

Isn't a main striker though.

Define striker, Rodrigo like Paddy, Joffy, Sinisterra, Harrison and James are forwards in this system.

Indeed he won't be, but he also believed Roberts was.

50% of his time here spent injured? That's no good to any club as the main striker or any other position so the club need to be getting a replacement and Bamford needs to work hard to get his place back...if he's not injured of course. I'd sell him off asap but his wages would be a major obstacle. Can't be doing with another 4 years of him on the treatment table.

It's not exactly 50% tbf but he has been injured for the majority of 2 of 4 seasons.

Last season and his 1st season.

I read somewhere it was about 30% of league matches missed since he arrived.

Which over a season would be around 11 games

Problem now is he simply seems unable to shake his issues.
