Well he's the one who makes the decisions, let's see if he has the balls to drop Llorent because he is one helluva disaster waiting to happen every game. He's quick enough to open his trap and get sent off now let's see how quick he is to recognise a dud defender.

Even after a 5-2 defeat I can honestly say we were the better footballing side by far and from what I’ve seen today Brentford are the new Wimbledon, hoof ball hit and hope and long throws etc. Unfortunately they have a real class player in Toney and our defending was particularly poor today. I said last week that Llorente makes me nervous every time he gets the ball or even gets near the ball and today he’s justified my nervousness.

VAR is a disgrace, compare their penalty claim against Summerville’s. One barely obvious one was given, one more obvious one wasn’t, I’m not surprised that Marsch is pulling hid hair out at the corrupt officiating in this league. I fear he will get himself sent off a few more times yet this season because this anti Leeds bias isn’t going to stop anytime soon.

VAR is one area where the Premier League could really learn from we Americans. We absolutely know how to do video replay. Our Professional Referee Organization (PRO) is outstanding. it was developed in conjunction with MLS to raise the level of our match officials and to develop VAR. Former Premier League and FIFA Referee Howard Webb was hired take on the job. He was smart enough to leverage all of the resources available to him from our other sports that ALL USE VIDEO REPLAY to develop VAR for use in MLS. And it's been very successful.

I might note that Howard Webb will be leaving PRO at the end of the year to take a similar role with PGMO, Englands Professional Game Match Officials, Ltd. Let's hope he can help raise the standard of Match Officials and VAR in English Football.
