Re: Malt/Whisky
I love Bowmore smoked, just got a bottle from Dublin, an Irish peat / smoked, they don't do many smoked whiskies in Ireland but this one is superb, the Mummy to the Daddy of whisky (Bowmore)

I'm an Islay fan but never heard of MacLeod distillery. I'm a Laphroag girl...or Lagavulin
Re: Cardhu gold reserve malt whisky
Good old ges, I miss him. Please give him my regards, would love him back on here.
After this last debacle from our team I'm on Mr swans Highland Park. I also have Bunhabin spelling?
Chivas Regal next (not malt I know but beautiful)
Re: Malt/Whisky
Googling seems that MacLeod put out Highland, Lowland, Islay, Speyside and Island.....

Do you not like Ardbeg? The 10 yo is fine, but the Uigeadail is exceptional... easily my favourite whisky.
I like the 16 yo Lagavulin, but at that price you might as well buy the Ardbeg. The double matured quarter cask Laphroig is drinkable, but the rest is TCP imo.

Re: Malt/Whisky
The Laphroag oak select is not a patch on the real thing, the 10 year old Laphroag. The select has hardly any depth. Rather weak flavour, watery. I stay clear of that one mc.mentalcase wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 1:35 pm No 1. Bowmore

I do.....I love any Islay malt. Apart from the Laphroag oak select. So many distilleries are putting out 'no age' malts now.Sara wrote: ↑Sat Dec 30, 2023 11:20 am Do you not like Ardbeg? The 10 yo is fine, but the Uigeadail is exceptional... easily my favourite whisky.
