Am I being unfair? I didn’t think Stach or Gruev got to grips with the game, I thought both were a bit careless at times. I’m happy to be wrong if others think differently.

Stach was overrun in midfield.... Did fine but the combination of class in opposition meant he couldn't play his game. Gruev while he does good work defensively offers nothing in build up/aerial ability and didn't in the champ but did well enough. Stachs a prem level midfielder others around him have some attributes but not all.... Against a side like Liverpool it shows especially with the changes they can make. Head above water type of stuff and we didn't drown. Fair play to the team. Mot.

I thought both were effective OB. It's the nature of our set up today that the strength is the collective. I saw our defensive set up to be tuned in and synchronized.

Gruev looked better than Wirtz and cost a fair bit less. Florian Worst would have been a better description as he was the worst player on the pitch.

However, 2 points against Liverpool, home & away - woohoo!

A few Farke naysayers need to be standing up and admiring both Farke's tactical nous and huge cojones.

Twice now Farke has held the league champions of Liverpool to draw. Though his omissions and additions to the team tonight seem to put many fans into a tailspin... what the hell is he doing seemed to be the thought that was being thrown about willynilly.

Seems that it is the fans that are smoking wackybacky and not him... he engineered a masterful draw, and should be given a barrow load of credit.

Yes, the Ekitike header was slightly behind him so was harder to control.
