Sara wrote: Sat Dec 30, 2023 11:20 am Do you not like Ardbeg? The 10 yo is fine, but the Uigeadail is exceptional... easily my favourite whisky.

I like the 16 yo Lagavulin, but at that price you might as well buy the Ardbeg. The double matured quarter cask Laphroig is drinkable, but the rest is TCP imo.

I suspect you don't advertise MOT, maybe I am wrong.
No we talk MOT over there too... I'm not clique person and we're all Leeds so no clue why someone can't post on both and recommend some parts of the other on either ..

Never got in to whisky. Always wanted to like it but I can only enjoy it in a hot toddy when I have a cold.

My first glass now, with a bit of cheese.

Very nice, plenty of smokiness. :tumbler:

No I'm not a whisky fan either.. I find it painful to drink. Don't do spirits much unless they're heavily mixed down and I'm told you shouldn't do that with whisky ..

I'm sure I've said before that I've recommended several people to try over here if I've thought they'd enjoy it and fit in with the forum.

Like Faaip, I like both forums, and don't see them as rivals.

Probably alright with cheap whisky.
I like Gin & tonic in the summer and have enjoyed an Aperol spritz which I didn’t expect too. Definitely summer drinks though as is Manzanilla Sherry. Very underrated drink. The English don’t get it as Kenny would say.

A vastly underrated beverage and generally completely misunderstood by British consumers.
Many different types but a chilled glass of manzanilla on a hot summer’s evening. Wonderful. Plus a bowl of nuts natch.

I'll have a look at my profile. I did try to change it, but the file was too large, so I couldn't, but I may have disturbed something.

I've picked up great recommendations from both. Definitely think of both forums as music/ football.
