Your Pint of choice this evening
Favouring a darker/ruby style beer, my favourite go to beer choice is a (Wychwood) Hobgoblin.
However, this evening two very pleasant alternatives in a (Sharp’s) Sea Fury and a (St. Peter’s) Plum Porter

Going off my ales slightly, the St Peter's Plum Porter is very nice though.
My favourite atm is Brew Dog Jack Hammer , or their More Or Less Evil Pale Ale.

Oh, to be in England, where there is such a thing as a true cask ale, served at the proper temperature.

Tried a couple of the Brew Dog Dead Pony Club beers, which were being show cased at a local golf club recently. Very impressed, and just what the doctor ordered after 18 holes, not too strong, 3.80%, nice and fruity and surprisingly refreshing. Our server also recommended Brew Dog Elvis Juice, may wet my whistle with it next time.

I've actually ordered a mixed box of their beers and both that you mentioned are in it. Tried the clockwork tangerine too, better on draught than out of the can. The Punk ipa is my or should I say was my choice of drink on draught when I go out if it's available.Azkalwhite wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 5:18 am Tried a couple of the Brew Dog Dead Pony Club beers, which were being show cased at a local golf club recently. Like a pint of Bass or Timothy Taylor Landlord. Honey Jack also
Re: Your Pint of choice this evening
I had heard of Punk IPA previously, couple of pals of mine are always on the sniff out for it when in different locations. BTW the gear I purchased the other day was equivalent to 9.47 quid a bottle, (I think 33cl), not sure how much it is in the UK, but highly doubt it would be anywhere near that price.gessa wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 10:38 am I've actually ordered a mixed box of their beers and both that you mentioned are in it. I paid £52.95 for 48 330ml cans delivered.Azkalwhite wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 11:34 am I had heard of Punk IPA previously, couple of pals of mine are always on the sniff out for it when in different locations. Just a little bit of a difference to what you pay Azk.
My first order was the same price but that included 16 440ml cans, it was on offer, down from £68.95, plus I got 15% off because it was an introductory offer so I ended up paying £45, happy days.

Real ales take some beating. But I also have to abstain from beer these days to keep the gout away.
Single malts are awesome.
I tend to mainly drink wine or rakiya.
Homemade rakiya is a beautiful, pure drink

I have to take Allopurinol, 2 tablets daily but the side effects for me are not tolerable, Allopurinol stops me sleeping so I stopped taking it
