Just been on lufcdata.
Phillips’ stats would make you think he played a blinder and yet I thought he came up short on many occasions during the game.

Head wasnt up all game, lots of passing backwards, a few errors.

It's why I don't take stats as the be all end all, they rarely show the whole picture... and sometimes you get the wrong picture completely

Kalvin looked a yard short of pace, he is running around as if he has a hip injury. If that is the case, is it any wonder Phillips is struggling? Something is wrong, as Kalvin is generally fit as a butchers dog.

Was immense, even in the first-half when as a team we were struggling.

Play Pascal as a CB, he is the man to play alongside Llorente, had some excellent games last season too,

Not his best game, but without Phillips we'd had been in a real mess yesterday, he actually won a few tackles & interceptions that broke up the canaries play.

What we didn't see is Kalvin controlling the game with his passing out to the flanks.
