When I was a teenager I always carried a box of matches, and couldn't walk through a field/hedge without setting light to winny (gorse) bushes, etc, fooking loved it mate

Yeah I had a bit of burning things issue. I’ve grown out of it now

Curiosity killed the cat mate

When I was 10 we moved 3 miles away from all my mates, so in summer I used to cycle up there every day.

I lost touch with them a bit, but then went back one time and the game they were playing was on an old abandoned mine site. So half of them would climb up in these red-brick buildings and the others would go outside and throw stones at them, but try not to hit them. But that graduated into half-bricks being thrown, and that was the end of me with those kinda games, cos it was obvious someone was gonna get hurt badly.

Spent a couple of nights up at Stan Laurel's place of birth just after the new year.

It commemorates Sir John Barrow (1764-1848), who was born in Ulverston, and was built in 1850 at a cost of £1250. The cost being met mainly by public subscription.

Taken outside our Premier Inn but unfortunately it never stopped raining after the picture and the mrs didn't fancy the hike in the rain.
