Three players over the age of 30yo yesterday.
A bit of exprience might be just what they need at this stage of the season, the keeper especially could be a crucial signing as he could singlehandedly keep them in some matches. Shelvey has the ability to score from nothing which could also be key. His winner against us last year, albeit extremely fortunate, could well have been a sliding doors moment for both clubs. It gave Newcastle a big lift at a time when they looked in big trouble and it robbed us of a potential 3 points in a match we dominated - if we'd have won that then those 3 points could have kept us far enough away from the reaches of relegation that the board might not have panicked, might have kept Bielsa, we'd have turned the corner after the run of tough fixtures and the world would be a far better place.

Are they allowed to Ayew, now the transfer window is shut?

He’s a free agent. You’ll find him at the old people’s home or Everton Academy as it’s now known

would love to know what’s going on at forest, can’t imagine cooper is asking for these players. Brought in some good young players and then gone mad on the likes of ayew, flilipe, navas and shelvey all of which will be on a lot of money, shelvey on 100k a week I had heard. Then they have signed too many players and will have to unregister one, apparently obrien as they wanted rid of him anyway - feels like a disaster waiting to happen. Not our problem maybe but perhaps it will be if they beat us on Sunday.

I could see Ayew being wanted by Cooper, having worked with him before. Cooper knows what Ayew can offer. Think it is probaby similar to us and some signings will be what Cooper wants and some will be what the club have decided to buy.

Tricky to judge Forest. My concern is that I would have expected them to start the season poorly with having so many new faces but then they would get stronger as the season progressed as the players got to know each other and Cooper worked out his best side. The fact that they are above us despite the chaos is a big concern if they do get stronger as the season goes on as it will be 1 less team that finished below us.

Three wins & two draws in their last five matches.

Even though the football Forest play is drab, they seem to have a plan which brings results.

They don't score many goals, but they keep it tight at the back.

Forest midfielder Lewis O'Brien has joined Wayne Rooney's MLS side DC United on loan until July.

The 24-year-old summer signing from Huddersfield Town has not played since the end of January after a deadline-day move to Blackburn Rovers fell through.

Chris Wood will miss the rest of the season with a thigh injury.

Steve Cooper said Forest also have concerns over forwards Brennan Johnson and Andre Ayew, full-back Serge Aurier and midfielder Gustavo Scarpa.

Johnson has a groin issue, Cooper said Johnson is "not back to full fitness".

Would be great news for Leeds if Johnson is sidelined

Forest haven't won in their last seven matches, just three home draws

Last win against us

One victory & three draws away from the City Ground.

Brennan Johnson has scored 8 of Forest's 23 goals.

Johnson's pace is a big problem for us as we lack pace at the back. I see plenty of balls over the top tomorrow.

Brennan Johnson or Emanuel Dennis vs Luke Ayling in his current form us a massive concern.

Both pacey tricky players.

Has been a liability last few matches with Podence, Martinelli and Mitoma giving him the absolute runaround.

Little did we think that RB would become a bigger issue than LB. Ayling remains a hero but I think his time is up. He is being targeted continuously now. However, our options are limited. Extra cover from midfield is probably the only hope. That, and constantly keeping them under pressure and working our asses off in midfield, would keep Luke out of the firing line.

Doesn't Brennan Johnson play on the right?

Johnson is ten years younger than Ayling.
