"Welcome to the MOT 'Guess The Crowd' Comp for 2022/23 Season
Didn't happen for the 2021/22 season, but I'm proposing a few changes for the 2022/23 season.
Firstly, Away games will be included, rather than Home games only.
All the cup games also included - so think anywhere between (for example) an away at Boreham Wood to an away at Man U."
I must have been looking into my mystic crystal ball.........assuming the beat AS of course !

I was at Rochdale, that was a real bad one.

The following week at Hillsborough was an extremely unpleasant experience too
Re: FA Cup Draw 4th Round
Crawley in Jan 2021 under Bielsa was a low point.
Coops, Struijk and Rodrigo all substituted at half time at 0-0.
We conceded 3 in second half.

Re: FA Cup Draw 4th Round
We have a real opportunity for a good cup run this year.
Newcastle, Chelsea, Villa, Palace, Everton, Forest, Bournemouth gone already. Liverpool or Wolves will go and the winner of that one play Brighton.
Man City will almost certainly play Arsenal in the next round so that gets rid of one of them.
By the 5th round it will be wide open.
It does require a favourable draw of course.

Re: FA Cup Draw 4th Round - Accrington/Boreham v Leeds date
1 Preston North End v Tottenham Hotspur
2 Southampton v Blackpool
3 Wrexham v Sheffield United
4 Ipswich Town v Burnley
5 Manchester United v Reading
6 Luton Town v Grimsby Town
7 Derby County v West Ham United
8 Stoke City v Stevenage
9 Blackburn Rovers v Birmingham City
10 Walsall v Leicester City
11 Sheffield Wednesday v Fleetwood Town
12 Manchester City v Arsenal
13 Bristol City v West Bromwich Albion
14 Brighton & Hove Albion v Liverpool
15 Fulham v Sunderland
16 Boreham Wood or Accrington Stanley v Leeds United
Definitely wide open. A maximum of 9 premier league teams will be in round 5. Tottenham, Saints, Man U, Leicester, West Ham, City/Arsenal, Brighton/Liverpool, Fulham and Leeds. A fair few games not involving any premier league sides so the potential is there for a 5th round match against a team we should beat if we win our 4th round match.

Re: FA Cup Draw 4th Round - Accrington/Boreham Wood v Leeds date
Accrington Stanley play their 3rd round replay against Boreham Wood next Tuesday (24th) hopefully both teams will exhaust themselves to ensure a plum tie vs the mighty Leeds on Sat (28th)

Any of those teams at ER in the 5th round would be nice, a few of the others if they manage to progress to the next round.weasel wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 11:48 pm

Come on BG, let's have a bit of positivity on here.
I'm one of our biggest critics on here relating to Leeds cup woes, but let's get behind the lads for once.
The team line-up we have now is massively improved on any of the teams we've fielded in previous domestic competitions.

Just looking at our history 64 that's all. I'm sure we were all equally as optimistic in the past as well. I really do think we'll get to round 5 but not without the apprehension.1964white wrote: Come on BG, let's have a bit of positivity on here.
