So what do we think?

Not convinced because of his fitness, not sure he will provide the craft our midfield lacks.

But he has to be an improvement on Forshaw and Greenwood

Looks a strong combative player which we lack.

And hopefully he and Adams being close can help

Yep, it has to be a plus, any player is a upgrade on Adam, I feel for him, his lucks been poor re injuries, as for Greenwood, I've not seen anything , apart from set pieces that he offers, but tbh, his corners lately have been.......shall I say poor !

I like the add, if you're improving what's already here then you're headed in the right direction. No celebration til that contract is signed sealed and delivered though

Probably need to do the positional polls again.

Good enough to be in the Juventus starting eleven. Good enough that Arsenal tried to hijack the deal. I daresay he'll be good enough for us. He's quality.

McKennie can be used either in a box-to-box or a defensive midfielder role. His defense and work rate are his best attributes, so I can see him working alongside Adams (and replacing Roca). I don't see him as an attacking midfielder, especially with the multitude of options we have up front right now. A very good signing.

Hope you are right

From what I've read it was Pirlo who really rated him but Allegri not so much.

He and Adams could provide a pretty solid pairing hopefully

Would have liked a more creative midfielder as well.

I'm hopeful but cautious.

I do like that he is a bit of a unit, it's different.

He was never that good Forshaw, an OK Championship player but do feel sorry for him regarding injury.

Agree on Greenwood, needs a loan.

I'd swap Stuijk for Firpo, he's a liabilty in defence, going forward he's great

I don't think he is a liability in defence, some good defensive headers today. More time on the pitch with a settled defence and that improves anyway. In this system the wing back HAVE to get forward and to the by line and that's not Struijk's strength

If McKennie is that player to replace Kalvin we've lacked since Kalvin then the wing backs won't need to defend much anyway

McKennie's mate has given credit for this to the 49ers.
Well it wouldn't be Radz, would it?

Glad it's option to buy and not obligation, we've been stung too many times by that.

No way I'd have firpo in the squad, who gave him licence to run around like a 12 yr old today, at one point he's centre forward ffs, yep he scored, good goal as well, then he gets megged for their goal, the guys hopeless.
First half he can't find a team-mate with a pass, good job it was accrington.

In terms of numbers we're still in the same place. Klich left. McKennie in. Of course, Greenwood often played ahead of Klich but won't play ahead of McKennie. But think we still need Sam for the bench.

Actually 33 successful passes today, played very well after a slightly dodgy part. As a wing back that's where I want him, up the park. Lost count of the times Alio ended up in the centre forward position

Yeah got to keep that squad small :flog:

Promote Gyabi send Greebwood on loan?

The latter is in the sink or swim category for me, far far from convinced.

To me he is Marsch's Tyler Roberts.
