Only one result through 2 games says a lot, 17 draws so far

A mixture of the kookaburra ball and rain delays I reckon, although what excuse Yorkshire can have for drawing that last match I don't know.

Our bowlers struggle to bowl out the opposition when we are in a commanding position, similar to previous seasons.

Our batting will diminish once Lyth loses his early season fine form, and Root & Brook head off to play for their main club, England.

ECCB are actively encouraging innings building. I think there's more points for a draw this year, though only caught the back end of that discussion on you tube so could be wrong.

Already looking like a draw in Hampshire, Warwicks 455 all out and Hants 260-4 as we go toward tea on the third day. Good to see Fletcher Middleton finally hit his first century, 22 year old prospect in his sophomore season

A marathon innings from Glamorgan captain Sam Northeast frustrated Yorkshire’s victory bid on the final day with a little help from the weather.

Glamorgan were precariously placed on 372-7, 74 runs ahead with three wickets remaining when lightning interrupted play in the last session.

Northeast batted more than six and a half hours for his unbeaten 142 while Colin Ingram hit 113.

Yorkshire spinners Joe Root and Adam Lyth took two wickets each.

Yorkshire main problem seems to be when they score a high innings & are in command, they fail to bowl out the opposition in their second innings

With this ball you need dodgy wickets to get results. So a victory is unlikely if there are runs in a wicket.
